lmao i remember telling that years ago to once when they were mocking snsd and every song twice put out was a hit.. but it`s true it is just a cycle in kpop only rare groups can still do well once new gen comes and a bunch of other artists start becoming bigger, in kpop ppl love fresh faces (i don`t really get it tbh).. Twice can still do much better tho if JYP changes a few things

I'm still pretty new to Kpop and I've mostly been into underground music scenes before this, so idk if western pop fandom spaces are like this too, but my god so many Kpop stans are so annoying af. idk if they're too young to realize this, but none of this charting shit is going to matter in 10 years. You can even see the pattern in western pop throughout all of music history. It's just how the world works atp.

It's easy to just enjoy the music you like without being a weird competitive asshole talking shit about people's careers that don't even know you exist.

No one stays on top forever. But Twice has big enough sales to survive even without the GP. The same can't be said about many acts that used to rely heavily on charting.

To be fair, this same fandom that is playing victim now had in the past mocked sones when Cheer Up became a big hit and when SNSD started to decline. This same fandom also laughed at other GGs fandom for not even coming close to Twice's NGG status at that time.

This cycle will never stop. Even Blackpink will fade one day so as a kpop stan, you just need to live with it. As long as u support your fave, whether they fading or not is not relevant

Unfortunately, fans of western pop artists are similar. If you follow western music forum e.g ATRL, u will see similar dragging all over the place.

Classic example - Katy Perry's fans dragged Lady Gaga's declining relevancy and eventually being dragged as Katy lose its relevancy while Gaga regained with A Star Is Born.

This happens all the time. It is just whether you visit / join those forums

The only western pop forum I've visited is atrl and people there are even more success stans. A lot of users were happy to see Adele and Billie Eilish underperforming.
