For people who are still confused about the unfairness of GP999 votes

  • Green and Red make up 50% in terms of proportion, Blue and Yellow make up 50%.

The total actual votes for Green + Red is maybe 1/8 or 1/10 of Blue + Yellow, so they scale it up to make it even such that every Korean vote is worth x8 - x10 of 1 International vote.

The way Koreans are voting is that they only vote Koreans, most of them, whereas international fans are split among K/C/J.

Because of this, Blue + Green which is the Korean trainees votes are so much higher, while the C/J votes are so much lower, explaining why even the last ranked Korean trainee in the previous episode can even triumph over the 1st play foreign trainee

Unless the votes change drastically, we are going to get a 8K or 9K group

  • I expected this since the beginning. I didn't think that Mnet really going to use one-pick voting though. I thought they will still use the 1K1C1J vote like before. But I guess Mnet don't want half of the group to be foreigners.

  • You know what's pretty ridiculous about the whole 50:50 voting thing? If say...... Internationals try to increase the votes for SXT by trying to get their family, friends, neighbors, etc to download the app and vote, each of those new votes added to the International pool just serves to increase the K-voters' voting power also(who are only voting for the K trainees). So essentially, each new International vote thrown in is ALSO a vote for the K trainees whether you like it or not. The whole thing was super rigged towards the K-voters from the very start. The only real way to really push a trainee up is to persuade K-voters to change their 1-pick votes but good luck with that.

  • unfair voting system

+ crazy twitter fans spamming about voting for k-group

  • Like I said, the only way to make it fairer for J and C trainees are International voter SHOULD vote for J and C only. If we continue vote for K, we are doomed due to this stupid voting system

  • I mean J C members might have more success going back to their own country after the exposure

instead of being hated by Koreans for getting into top 9, give the Koreans what they want a 9K group and let them figure out how to promote their supposed Global Group.

Actually i really dont mind if 9K end up debut.

But imagine the disappointment to the J and C trainees. Esepcially for C trainees, they wont be getting more success in their home country now that they went to seek success in foreign country and failed.

  • To be fair half of the remaining contestants are K-group so if the votes were evenly split between the eighteen contestants 50% of the votes would still go to K-group. And K-group is is more popular internationally as well (even with Chinese and Japanese voters who we can assume mostly votes for contestants from their own country) so you can't blame (only) nationalistic bias. Fact is that K-group is more popular across the board. Mnet wanted to make sure they had enough Koreans in the final lineup and succeed a little too well in making the K-group the most popular.

That said 8K or 9K in the final group would be a joke. And what is even the point if Xiaoting, Mashiro, Yurina and Hikaru doesn't debut.

U missed the main point. Majority of Koreans (50% weightage) vote for K trainees. On the other hand, international votes are more evenly distributed among C J K.

Overall Popularity does not matter. If K+international votes are summed up, then it will be fair to determine the overall most popular contestants.

But with K votes being given 50% weightage and they only want to pick K members, this is the problem

as crazy as it sounds I also don't mind if it's a 9K group :pepe-hehe:

I'm ok with any line up, I've said this in the past.

I mean it'll be hilarious to watch the K media covering that story

and yea I'm sure the J C members would be disappointed but I think it will be better for their mental health to just not be in the top9 when the Koreans don't want them to be there.

all the J C members knows the mid interim voting I'm sure and fans in their own home country would also know about it.

so no, I don't think they will be labelled as failures when they go back home, at least I hope not.

but anyways d-day is gonna be entertaining to say the least lol

  • I do feel sad for the J and C girls though, cause this could be the last chance for some of them.

Objectively, some of the J/C are more ready to debut than some K girls but Koreans just dont want to vote for them. and the worst thing is mnet advertised this as a Global /multinational group, how hilarious when it ends up with 9K 0C 0J.
