Are we ever getting a comeback from Red Velvet?

Can we really point out a reason? From Wendy's complex injury -- a type which can often take years to fully heal to scandals to rumors of no contract renewals.

There's a lot of reasons why they could not be making a comeback right now. As far as I know, SM confirmed in November that they are planning a comeback for RV, which means it's in the cards. After 5+ years of activity as a group, it's only natural to take time to focus on other things.

If we look at precedent, that tends to transform artists and stimulates their creativity in ways that can't be done while they're spending every waking moment making, promoting or performing their craft. Let's wait and see.

Someone else made this point and it sounds logical. Maybe SM is waiting to see how the GP and Korean media reacts to Irene's movie before investing in another group comeback for them.

I’m sure there will be a comeback sometime this year but it would depend on how well Wendy’s recovery is going. Also, I would expect that as a senior group they would transition to one comeback a year only.

it's confirmed Seulgi no longer lives with her members. im sure Irene also starting living alone, Wendy obviously lived separately due to her injury that she now recovered from. Joy and Yeri might still be at the dorm. obviously a group cb is not part of their plan as of recent

they are all doing solo activities. i think they might have one last '4 Walls' cb in the future

I think so. SM gave them a pretty solid spot on the SMTOWN Concert (3 songs), which was basically an online ad for all of their groups. This was clearly to both gauge if public reaction had cooled down and to set the stage for a comeback, IMO.

As for the second comeback. SM likes to kill their GGs and only keep their BGs, so RV is indeed in danger.

rv will definitely have another comeback - no matter how spiteful sm are, they can't deny the money rv brings in just by touring and releasing music. It's just a question of how much support they'll be getting from sm through that comeback. I hope they get a few weeks on music shows and variety show appearances because those two areas are where sm shortchanges groups once they get older.

I think SM is going to let them die slowly. I hope they have another comeback. Miss them

It's been just over a year and we should be getting a comeback I'm guessing march but it's not really anyone's fault, I'm sure if Wendy never had her accident they would have been really active but obviously that was massive setback if not the make or break, thankfully it didn't break them, so stay looking forward to hearing their amazing vocals bless your ears, and them visuals gracefully heal our eyes from this pandemic
