But again exo genuinely SERVED this year as a group and as solos. Like I’ll go so far as to say one of their best years music wise.

Paradise, cry for love, I’m gonna love you are all gonna go down as some of my all time favs.

With SM people like their favs music and there arent many people who like every single release from that company.

With that said, Im super satisfied and happy with everything SHINee has been putting out. What other groups do, dont interest me.

i'm not gonna lie, 2016-2017 was peak SM for me but all the indirect hate towards SM for just one recent title track is insane

i've become so emotionally attached to "Faded in My Last Song" that it's the new standard for me for NCT and i hate that

i adore aespa and i think "Don't Call Me" slapped.

for RV it's hard bc i felt like their b-side quality went way down for the ReVe releases but Queendom was so much better but the only problem is that i listen to Pose 10x more than i listen to Queendom

but i can't let go of 2016/2017 (for reasons other than kpop too but oh well lmao) because from SM we got:

Bambi Rose and DFTF were not experimental nor made me question anything so I’m satisfied with those too I just happened to like the b sides more

I mean, kpop is made of trends. So we often see the same type of music be created across the board, which can get a little tiring.

But SM had a pretty diverse year in my eyes

From the solo releases to the group ones, we got some pretty good music. Different line up in title tracks and bsides.

I disagree with this so much.

Like in the old forum you could have seen me saying that SM were done, their creativity was at rock bottom, their days on the cutting edge were over.

But this year they've got a damn near perfect streak. Even when I don't like the song (Sticker), I can recognise that I only don't like it because it is too advanced for my simple basic mind. The fact that they released that as a single is just an incredible serve. Like holy shit, the balls of this company.

Hot Sauce and Next Level were fire. SJ's and 127's albums are top notch, SHINee's and Yesung's albums were great too. Friday and Queendom were alright, Dftf and bambi were meh and forgettable. Wendy's debut was alright.

Overall it was a good year imo. My own faves (SJ/Yesung and NCT's units) served nothing but quality.
