yes, unless they are not making fun of the way gg dance, there is nothing wrong with it.

Dancing is all about interpretation of choreography, even professional dancers dance differently to a same choreo according to styles they prefer and look better at.

One can dance powerfully, sharply, or softly and gently, it all depends on how the person covering the dance wants to do it.

Idk why kpop fans think things only need to be done a certain way...but again kpop fans and their entitlement has no boundaries

I think people forget that you learn how to dance a certain way, and it's hard to unlearn it to 'copy' another style. I personally don't see anything wrong with BG making a dance cover of a GG group with their own style.

I agree that it can be over-the-top sometimes, with the overtly-agressive energy, as if they were trying to overcompensate the fact that they're covering a GG, lol. But it's mostly funny and a lil bit cringe at worst, nothing direspectful imo.

As Fearless its funny to sing Im sexy girl... but who cares. I do what i want.

There's nothing wrong with it as long as they don't make fun of it.....thats just tacky and disrespectful.

Otherwise it's a matter of personal preference for me if they dance aggressively it just looks awkward especially in a choreo that's more graceful and light. Something like this is how a good gg cover should be done. I loved this.

It depends. Some boyband members add more steps to the choreos and basically change everything. It depends on the extent. I support people keeping their dancing style but some people just change like everything until it looks weird. Not disrespectful but it just doesn’t look good. Certain dance routines need certain dancing styles. You cannot bboy while dancing to SNSD-Gee. You also cannot do aegyo while dancing to BTS‘ Fake Love

I don't follow BlackPink as much so i don't know if they made changes to the coreography but i really like this one

I think that as everyone said, whatever way is fine as long as they don't disrespect the song/choreography. Although I do think there's a bigger discussion to be had about why "masculinity" is the expected from these idols.

I personally like to see when they fully commit when dancing to a gg song. The same for the inverse of that.
