Is 4th Gen being overshadowed by 3rd Gen?

3rd gen won't stop 4th gen groups I mean Bigbang continued to be active until 2016 and it didn't stop EXO or BTS from rising. The problem is most 4th gen groups have failed to create hit songs that resonate with the SK GP so its easy to ignore them when groups like BTS,BP etc are releasing stuff people want to hear.

monthly listeners only show that 2.4 million people listened to an Everglow song in the last 28 days.
It does not prove that they're globally popular, they just have a lot of listeners, most of which are casual. Their sales paint a different picture. Once they start breaking 100k, then we can consider them a rising group.

I would say Atesz have decent sized ifandom tho. Theybsold nearly 400k and sold out the Prudential and the Forum....thays pretty good.
Nearly TXT and Stray Kids level in sales.

3rd gen started 2012-2013 but the groups only really started to peak around 2016 and so
Lol, finally some fans realize that 2018 gave nothing to indicate the start of a new generation. It must start with a new group getting a national hit and we got that right away with H.O.T. in 1996, TVXQ/DBSK in 2004 and Exo (one year later) in 2013. The only thing coming close to that is Itzy in 2019 with Dalla Dalla... So the beginning is either 2019 or later.. but never 2018!
I really agree with these.
Why are people pushing this 4th gen is unsuccessful and 3rd gen is successful agenda? We can see 3rd gen is still successful.
It is not necessary to put down these idols. Everybody is going at their own pace.

Decent sized, yes, but no 4th gen group is actually internationally popular yet.
