they’re literally down in the history books. people all over the world know them and have grown up with their music. the scientist, yellow, viva la vida (to name a few) are timeless masterpieces. coldplay don’t need any more validation when they’ve already proved everything in their decades long career. they’ve made money, gotten their deserved fame, and now they’re just releasing music whenever and with whomever they want to.

i don't know much about coldplay, but im pretty sure they aren't using BTS for clout like some other artists BTS had worked with before. i get that you're skeptical of western artists collabing with BTS since they, like Jason Derulo tend to just use them for clout, but i genuinly think that coldplay respects BTS's work and music and really wants to collaborate with them.

Coldplay don't need clout and not everything is about that. I am glad that they are collaborating with BTS because they are great musicians and have a lot of good songs.

The idea of Coldplay needing clout is effing hysterical! They are massive and have proved their popularity and influence for over twenty years!

Anyway, this will be legendary and I’m also hoping this may be the collab that gets BTS their first UK number 1. When this is officially announced, I imagine the hype over here will be very real.
