(Poll) What Would Be The Reaction If Blackpink Added Another Member?

Their upcoming 4 + 1 promotion has got me thinking: How would fans and stans alike react if Blackpink added another member?

It's happened before, like with Red Velvet but that was very early in their careers, whereas Blackpink has built a very strong foundation both with their fans and amongst the members themselves.

Obviously they don't need another member as they are pretty well rounded. Would another member be a shot in the arm to an already established juggernaut in K Pop or would fans snub their nose at such news?

For example, what if Somi joined Blackpink?

Personally, it wouldn't matter too much to me.

I'm in the same boat and it has nothing to do with whether I like the group or not.

It's liek when Mina was away from Twice for so long and there were rumors that she might be leaving the group, I was pretty much fine with an 8 member Twice, even if they went and got a new member to fill Mina's spot.

I guess I'm just not as connected to these groups as others? Then again, I use to be into New Edition and Destiny's Child and they always had member changes LOL.

Eh, I think Blackpink has amassed quite the casual crowd outside of the standard K Pop fan. Not that many people really care about who's in the group. It's about the music they're putting out.

Obviously, with K Pop, it's different as it's very idol centric but Blackpink isn't your ordinary K Pop group. I think they can get away with it at this point.

But it does. Just wait until they start touring again, ESPECIALLY in the West. There are a LOT of people who know of Blackpink but have zero clue that they're a K Pop group.

Those same people are going to buy concert tickets and in all reality, will probably leave the show not remember ANY of the members' names BUT they still bought a ticket

Eh, Blackpink could use another collab or two. Wasn't really feeling Sour Candy or whatever they did with Cardi B.

I need someone who is going to match their energy, not bring them down but that's just a non fans opinion.

The only collab I have heard so far that matches the group was Halsey with BTS but that's probably because she just did part of the hook.

Boy With Luv might have been worse had Halsey actually had eight bars to sing

2017-2018 was one disaster after another - every single group I liked hit the "Age 25 Expiration Date" and vanished like bugs splattering on the windshield. I'm more careful with liking groups these days - LOONA is my favorite, but their older members are closing in on that same expiration date and I anticipate every comeback will be their last.
