SM literally on roll for the past few weeks

they function like there are only three months to make comeback for their artist in a whole year calendar

its been good 6 months for them

It's great for an all SM artists fan like me but I struggle to keep up (Lovinng the struggle tho)

edit: also fans saying vote for x group because y group is leading when I stan both x and y

Aespa could have had an even hotter song. I mean like "wow" level. SME worked with too many gifted producers not to. Especially if the group has really high singing firepower per member. They still have time to get that right for their first mini-album though. Taemin is friken seasoned (we all know this) and pivoted into a vibe with "Advice".

A hot catalog Aespa song, followed by Taemin's "Advice", leading into a hot EXO's single would have been solid progress for SME to me.

True SM is killing it this year. Nearly all their artists and solos have been able to chart well on Melon plus their groups have improved their sales tremendously.

Waiting for Kyungsoo and Kai solo too

We love to see quality and talent winning

And it seems all NCT units are making a comeback on the next few months: NCT Dream's repackage, 127's comeback (it has been more than 1 year already), WayV is recording their 2nd full album, heavy rumours of the new NCT japanese unit, even a rumour of NCT U coming back... NCT alone is going to relase a shit ton of context this 2nd half of the year. And Aespa to release their 1st album on the summer as well

SM is famous for this. Their artists almost always have cb at the same time.

SM comebacks ALWAYS clash, that is why many of their artists have short time to promote, music shows allow only certain number of artists from the same company.

SM had in 2021 (Korean comebacks, not counting OSTs or commercials):

• January: 3 comebacks (kangta, yunho, kyuhyun)
• February: 2 comebacks (aespa, shinee)
• March: 3 comebacks (way v (chinese actually), super junior, baekhyun)
• April: 3 comebacks (wendy, shinee, kyuhyun)
• May: 5 comebacks (aespa, yesung, nct dream, taemin, joy)

It's really hard not to clash with this many artists
