They are just trying to show the popularity of the acts, not really their profits we are unaware of

Seeing how GFriend fared and how Source Music has basically become an empty shell after acquisition by Hybe, a shadow of what it used to be before, I don't think that would've been the best course.

It feels more like 'sabotaging or eliminating the competition' type of acquisitions that Bighit/Hybe are making than the 'let's upgrade you to the next level' type of acquisitions.

Or it must be that Bighit is notoriously bad at managing and making their girl groups prosper (Glam failed too), while they do well with managing their boy groups.

The one there are planning is under a different label which includes source music resources too.

Is there any proof to what y’all saying? Or is it the narrative yall are sticking to based on your own assumptions and imaginations ? What competition? They don’t have a gg. They loaned money to source music, helped in their music. Artist management is under source music. Hybe didn’t not take part in it. Glam failed bcos one of the girls committed a crime.

i stan 2 groups from SM and i am a casual fan of 2 more, i follow and am friends with many fans of SM artists both here and in twitter but LITERALLY none of them cares about SM's fianances or even talk about them at all. Imagine not only obsessing over the finances of your faves' company but also the fianances of a company you hate, taking company-stan to the Next Level

From their CBS I can’t see any sabotage. They had expensive MVs and well thought songs and albums.. I love Walpurgis Night and their witch theme (Mago means magic). They were in Hybe’s introduction video (I saw behind the scene one and there’s no inkling of hanky panky), they wore expensive clothes and went to many promotions.

So it’s unfair to say there’s sabotage. Sabotage is no comebacks and no visibility of the girls. And we didn’t see that at all

Glam used to be a girl group under Bighit (together with Source Music), but they didn't do well.

GFriend have been the only girl group so far in the Hybe umbrella. And now they're leaving too.

So girl groups don't really do well under Hybe, compared with the boy groups.

The departure of GFriend from Source Music is odd to say the least, especially considering it's Source Music's only group.
