Proof 2nd gen fans are best fans

First, YouTube was not a thing when 2 nd gen.

Second, bulky buy has been a thing since kpop was born.

Some I think is true and some not so true

Youtube became a thing a few years before the end of the 2nd gen so it wasn't really that established yet so maybe it wasn't a huge thing yet to stream

Some people did buy in bulk, but that was really in the 1st gen for HOT fans, but fans in all gens have bought bulk albums

Some of course cared about male x female idol interactions but I feel like back then it was actually a thing we all loved to see like WonderBang

Number 4 seems the most accurate from what I've seen of 2nd gen stans

I don't know about 5, I think fans were fans because they loved the groups and not because the group was new and hot, I feel like lots of people do that now

I do think more concepts were widely supported and I think the variety of kpop in the 2nd gen was a lot wider than now

1. I don't care about views either, I stream because I want to listen to the the music

Yeah, kpop fans are always obsessed with their idol in a different ways. And honestly personally I think it's better for them to be fully obsessed with charts, records and success of their idol than to do the shjt like the craziness I mentiioned.

Yep, I agree with all of that. I was a second gen fan and it was so much better then.

I kind of agree but some fans were super obsessive then

Physical fights were a thing, some groups had little to no security and got flooded at airports, heck even exo. antis tho were horrific, and I remember Heechul saying he was afraid to open his window some days, of his OWN house. There was also SNSD black ocean and the entire knife stab wound incident.

But it was more mainstream then, hence more crazy people

When fans bought stocks to kick a member out

I don't even follow suju but I feel bad for them

even KYUHYUN like the best male idol voice, was hated so much and people made fun of him after his horrific car accident injury.

So it wasn't all roses and glory, but some things were good.

I liked all the real interactions and friendships

Some things were better

But never was perfect.
