Which brings in more money: Boygroups or Girlgroups?

This is false tho I think their touring potential is in fact bigger.
They just didn’t get to tour China like bigbang did.
If that opens up I think they’ll be even bigger than Bigbang.

I'm pretty sure Bigbang touring power comes from Japan tho, not China. And I always feel like Bigbang is bigger than BP in China anyway.

China is a huge reason why they hit 1million tour attendees. They had a lot of dates there.

Whoever has touring power will earn more

Not really. Made and 0 to 10 were the tours with 1mil+
Out of 1.5 mil for made, 910k came from Japan with only 18 shows. Rest 36 shows worldwide had 590k. This is also including Korea.
For 0 to 10, 950k out of 1.1 mil came from Japan again.
0 to 10 didn't even have a Chinese show.

Boy groups by far.
They have more longevity because female fans are more willing to go the distance. Women are already treated like commodities by the industry with an expiration date and male fans tend to fall away from them once they reach a certain age. It kills their longevity. It's very telling that outside of a few exceptions, most of the people I see talk about SNSD, 2NE1, f(x), etc are women while male fans tend to talk more about newer groups.

Hmmm interesting.
They should push for bp promo in Japan then.

bp promo in japan is least likely to happen because of teddy not interested in creating original japanese songs

I’d say boy groups especially the big ones.

Bg - particularly when you stack in touring and merchandise sales outside of albums. The big groups’ fan bases also seem to purchase longer into the group’s career and support solo albums. It will be interesting to see what happens with the big 3rd Gen gg like BP though - maybe they’ll continue to change the game.
