i cant believe that... i mean u might be able to produce/write a song if you have no basic in music study, but to actually make it into proper song, u sure need assistance from musician to polish, create the singing melody etc

Honestly, there are simply people who have a natural feel for music, thats probably all.

Going with what intuitively feels right is a good approach. He does have some level of natural talent. Even if he doesn't consciously have a formula, whatever his method is has produced some nice songs over the years.
