They're vying for the title, but TWICE has a huge legacy and they're not even 6 years old.
It's between the two of them, and the gap between them is not as big as some people will debate at this point.
The only thing preventing BP from taking the title and running away with it is a consistent physical album release schedule, otherwise they are on top of the game in basically everything else.

I'd say BP 2020 era would be the most iconic era for a 3rd gen GG , in which before I'd say it's Twice's 2016 era with Cheer Up being the song with most weeks in Melon Top 10 by 17 weeks , TT have 10
HYLT has 16 weeks on MeLON Top 10
LSG has 14 weeks and still in the running for the title
not to mention the second gg overall in Korea's history to sell over 1M copy with an album

anyways ofc i’d want more content from bp, two cbs a year would suffice but we all know (even tho some of yall dont wanna admit it) that if bp had regular cbs it’d be over for the other ggs.
its unfair to compare twice’s total album sales when they have had waaaaay more cbs than blackpink (and a bunch of other groups lol). in the end, blackpink ended up outselling them and catching up even with hiatuses...yikes

also the american label connection and collab argument is bs. seventeen JUST started doing promo in the states yet they were still outselling groups who had an american label/distributor...u tried it!

Nobody can surpass them right now so they'll be the top girl group, in general, but a 3rd generation group isn't going to be the leader of a new era.
I'm not going to say that BTS are the leaders of the 4th generation but they will still be the top group.
