Yes. Despite my reservations with some of MHJ's concepts in the past, such as Cookie (let's not go there ranting about it), she has/had a vision for them. Do I think it's detailed to hell? No. Do I think it is detailed to know what each year's concept will be? Yes. They trust the vision, over what isn't at Ador now, so to follow her is to cement their mark on the industry. If they stayed, they would've been accused of being in it for the money, and they should've followed MHJ because Ador has no idea what they are doing with their concepts, in the end.

It's not that I don't support them because it's kpop, not slavery. They shouldn't be made to work with elements that they feel are hostile to them.
What I do think is they should have been smarter and played the long game. They had the money, they had the public support and they weren't being abused. They were making too much money to be put on hiatus and tbh hiatuses don't really affect bigger groups. BP is proof of that. They should have preservered until their contract ended. They would have come out victorious if they had stayed out.

I understand what you say but let's try to put ourselves in their position. They removed their old team (not just MHJ but the people working with them since the creation of the label weren't there anymore), the company even had beef with their MV director. They were told to be put on hiatus, they wouldn't have made a comeback until around now more or less, so in the case they win they didn't really lose anything regarding promotions. They were going to change their music production, change their sound and the concept, something they indentified themselves with... And they would have to stay in this situation until the end of the contract in 2029?
Their move was risky, but it's really meritory and a proof that they aren't just a bunch of girls being idols, but artists that appreciate what they're doing, that know what concept and sound want to have, that know how much they're worth and that respect their coworkers and the arts that have made what we know now as NewJeans.
Also the "weren't being abused"... Well, they were, I encourage you to find more information about the topic but first points that come to mind there're things such as predebut videos and medical records being leaked, mediaplay attack, Hanni's VISA status being leaked too, the CEO of Hybe saying they wanted to hurt their public image, Hybe managers contacting periodists to edit articles to make their achievements look worse...

I don't stand with or against them. Yes, they have valid concerns and some fucked up shit has happened to them, but they are also making very dumb legal moves and staking their career on following MHJ's playbook.
Similarly, get off the fence and take a stand on one side or the other. I need all the regular users to have their opinions recorded for history.
