FAKE ACTIVISM...

  • Imagine getting clocked by community notes... One person screamed "omg it's Rosa Parks" and the whole internet ran with it...

You know it's fake activism when u didn't go after Pharrell and the designer but just wanted to hate on Lisa...

At this point the obsession with having this severe need to hate on BP needs clinical diagnosis...

    BlinkTaglist

  • Some people really want their hit tweets on daily basis... they cannot get enough of Lisa... one must study how racist and xenophobic they are towards Lisa to go after her every single day...

some lilies want to trend #NOTROSAPARK

What about that on the title? Its not face on panties, face is on whole body, its single piece, but top covered with blazer

  • If that's not her, then good but why would the designer just put random women he knows on a piece like that?

Its not random, thats his style...

  • The Allkpop main site is running with it now.

I guess if you only care for clicks and ad revenue it’s a super sensational story to run with even if it’s not true. If you only care about spreading hate or propaganda you also don’t care if it’s not true. A sorry state of the world.

AKP has never bothered about thruth... Sensationalism is all they need until an idol looses their life... Then poeple here will scream for a week and then go back to hating another idol...

  • Happy it wasn't Rosa Parks. I think if she wore pants it wouldn't have looked that bad and I think it was just unfortunate design choice to have the portraits on her crotch area.

In my personal opinion, I think her and the other 2 members need to apologize for the trainee video because people will always post about it and the lack of apology when things come up. Unfortunately, the videos popped up back again because of this and I think it's why people were quick to jump on this. I think if she wants to elevate her career in the US she and the other 2 members need to tackle that head on because the lack of apology will always follow them and people will use that as ammo when something happens.

  • Glad it wasn't Rosa Parks although the issue got a lot of negative attention despite the designer being a black man. I think people are not very positive about her recently and it has been going on since before her album released. Jennie on the other hand was also dragged for trying to represent the "legacy" of Coco Chanel (a nazi) but she generally doesn't get the kind of hate Lisa does.

  • now ppl are moving the goalpost saying it's innapropriate to have portraits on her crotch (the portraits are literally all over her bodysuit) when the artist himself collaborated with pharell williams and obviously doesn't see an issue with it (he attented the met gala with the same portraits on his clothes). it was never about rosa parks a lot of ppl just want to hate on her, and now that they don't have a reason they're nitpicking to keep the hate going.

  • Now everybody who tried to shame Lisa here in this forum looks dumb asf :meme-excuse-me:

And as expected from weirdos on X, creating fake rumors over nothing bc they are this jobless.

the fact that it was just a x user that said it's rosa parks and ppl just ran with it :meme-brick-wall: and insisting LV didn't deny or confirm when their statement was perfectly clear and multiple articles debunked it :meme-brick-wall:

Lisa is the victim in this, how many racist attacks this girl got online is immeasurable.

As I said so many times the hate Lisa is receiving from kpoppies is 70% xenophobia, they always are quick to call her names like "thai monkey, thai femboy" etc etc over anything be it real or fake so yep, I don't expect these people to be morally right in any thing related to Lisa and it's funny how even here in akp we see so many excusing the hate she is getting as if she did something to receive this much hate.

It wasn't Rosa Park, now it's bc it was weird styling, the excuses are tiring and shameful.

Lets be honest... its more about BP members than the whole N word itself... worst part is its mostly kpop stans esp twitter armys fueling this against BP knowing very well BTS also has similar issues... Neither BP and BTS intended to offend black people...

People were vocal and got the message about braids directly to Lisa and Lisa had immediately apologized and since then has never repeated it...

So now these BP videos got leaked when a huge Korean actor was facing a controversy and then they leaked all videos to divert and now people want to bash BP for something in their training years... none of us are the same in last 10 years so why this need for apology at all... its not like the girls ever repeated it...

I think you're going a bit too far the opposite way to defend them

Wdym? Haters have been using those old videos to drag BTS on Twitter for years.

It's a messy situation and there are a lot of bad actors that made this escalate. I do feel she gets more hate than the usual idol. I can't pinpoint when it started but it most likely started when she started dating her boyfriend or possibly crazy horse. I do feel bad for her because a lot of the hate towards her is coming from all corners and makes me think she needs to slow down on some things. I do sense some xenophobia with the hate she's getting because it does seem very unusual.

This one is tough to tackle but I think it's a pile of issues that snowballed into this mess. Like I said above there are some bad actors invovle in the hate the girls get. I think for BP and especially Lisa and Jennie a lot of the hate stems on culture appropriation and lack of accountability. I think that's why we're here today. Again, there are some bad actors involved that doesn't give them a fair chance. I feel with Lisa's wardrobe situation people have made up their mind and expected her and her team to respond right away, but I thought they responded pretty quickly since it's been 24 hours but most people will dismiss that and use this as something to attack her over. It is odd everything deflected onto Lisa and not much on stylist and Pharell who had final decision on this.

Again, I will say it's best for all involved if there's some accountability and the girls own up to the trainee videos and apologize. I know it was a long time ago, but an apology will come a long way. In America Blackpink as soloist are considered new artist and an afterthought in the grand scheme of things. Once they get more popular the videos will pop up again and people will wonder why didn't they apologize when it showed up. Usually in the US music industry artist apologize for stuff even if it was a long time ago. I remember Camila Cabello apologized for her racist tweets that happened in her past.

As a fan of Lisa I hope for this hate train to stop because I feel bad for her. I just don't think people are going to stop at this point and I feel she needs to face things head on. Also I am unsure if RCA is doing their best job to guide Lisa as a soloist because US music industry is vastly different than the kpop industry.

  • When I first read about this on Reddit, I did not join any hate bandwagon as it wasn't clear to me that it was Rosa Parks at all. It's a person with a pair of glasses. That was about all I saw.

Lets be honest... its more about BP members than the whole N word itself... worst part is its mostly kpop stans esp twitter armys fueling this against BP knowing very well BTS also has similar issues... Neither BP and BTS intended to offend black people...

All of this does show how stupid fanwars are. Whenever a weakness with BP/ a BP member is perceived some dumb ARMYS will cheerfully join the hate bandwagon. Whenever a weakness is perceived with a BTS member, some Blinks cheerfully join the hate bandwagon.

And then you have akgae and random trolls who add even more insanity to the mix.

In the end it helps none of us, and certainly not the groups we stan or Kpop in general.

Added to this, Twitter is a cesspool of hate and all things bad. I think the fanwars warp people's minds to the point that they hate "rival" groups more than they like their own group and they think furiously typing sh*t at each other is like being in some epic battle.

No, you're all dumb and that is putting it mildly.

Having said all this, the Reddit stuff I saw seemed to be more locals than Kpop fans of any kind. Also shows it's best to first check instead of assume. It's not like she had Rosa Parks written on her clothes, so it wasn't definite at all that it was her.

  • If that's not her, then good but why would the designer just put random women he knows on a piece like that?

Exactly! It doesn't matter who is on her so called "dress", it's still disrespectful, and honestly, it's 90% the designer's fault! I don't give a damn about this ridiculous Met Gala, but I'm not sure any of the celebs can say: "Fck NO!".

Happy it wasn't Rosa Parks. I think if she wore pants it wouldn't have looked that bad and I think it was just unfortunate design choice to have the portraits on her crotch area.

Also, this! The "dress" looks like hot garbage! I don't know why they always have to be half naked at Met Gala. I mean, celebs, not just Lisa.

I agree about the other statement of yours too. Her fans saying: "Apologize to Lisa!" kinda interesting to say the least.

  • So now these BP videos got leaked when a huge Korean actor was facing a controversy and then they leaked all videos to divert and now people want to bash BP for something in their training years...

sorry to tell you the truth but Koreans don't care about Lisa. If it was Jennie I'd might say fine even tho that would be a stretch too. I get you are trying to defend her but you are overdoing it.

  • I don't have a horse in this race, i even said yesterday she looked best out of them three.

Let this be a lesson to designers and celebs not to put and wear black people's faces on their panties. Black designer put them there? It doesn't matter. That clarification will reach 10% of the audience but everyone else will remember her as a non black woman wearing black women faces on her crotch. I don't think that people who were mad about it being Rosa Parks feel better now. This particular clothing article should have never been worn by non black person.

Don't wear controversial clothes. Lisa isn't one of the artists whose brand is controversy, she needs a better team because this one dragged her into one.

  • Yeah, people should go after the designer, if anyone. And sad to say, but people come for Bts too, no matter that they apologised. It is what it is. Fanwar culture.

  • Wdym? Haters have been using those old videos to drag BTS on Twitter for years.

They don't follow bts so they don't know. That's fine because they are not a fan. Bts apologized for questionable thing they've done but it's useless. Which is why i often think that idols shouldn't apologize for anything. Whatever they do it's not enough. They can't win either way.

apology is for accountability meaning you are doing better and have learned to be better.

It’s not to gain forgiveness imo.

  • lisa subtly replying (we can see that the portraits were all over the body suit)

Personally yes they apologize for the questionable things they did

but i'll never be able to consider their apologies as real apologies

just for an example, when they released in 2014 War of hormone and their very problematic lyrics it made a lot of very bad buzz and bts & Big hit completely ignore the demands of people who ask them to apologize for their mysoginistic lyrics and just continue to act like nothing happen

then when they start to get some recognition in the west they share an apology for the problematic lyrics of War of hormone because they were getting more exposed and they knew that continue to act like it never happened would be problematic

the only reason why most people continue to bring back bts problematic stuff is that the times they apologies for this thing, it was never genuine apologies.

it was always calculated and only to try to clean their image

and i'm not saying that all idols who apologies are genuine, but at least they do it just hours or days after the problematic stuff happen, which make it looks at least genuine and honest

  • Honestly i find much more problematic the fact that Jennie said she made her "research" about the theme of the Met gala this year, just for her 2 seconds after to say that she was influence by coco channel legacy, who was someone who was racist and worked with the nazi when the theme was literally Black dandyism, than Lisa outfit

lisa really turned into a punching bag this year ;( :holding-back-tears:
