  • Imo the damage is done! Apparently it’s not the first time either :?: will they chart the same? Maybe! Will they release great music? Possibly! But will their fans that have left give them another chance? Will their international fandom specifically Black and Latino people still support them? I don’t think so!

It’s sad that a birthday event they wanted to celebrate with fans turned out this way  hopefully it’s lesson for all

  • that one person on twitter highlighted part "taking the concept too far"

that's actually the main issue here, the fact that this phrase even landed in apology already buries it down and makes it even worse

  • Imo the damage is done! Apparently it’s not the first time either :?:

Last year a video showed up with Julie saying the N word when she was a YG trainee . She made the statement below and it looks like she didn't better educated herself due to this party they hosted. Then their company made an apology that was generic that didn't enough, and now this apology. The main issue with the current apologies they never addressed the groups (black and latinos) that were affected by the party. Also, didn't state why they went through with it knowing it was bad because Belle said on bbl she hopes they don't lose any fans, so they knew this was bad.

Unsure if the group recovers but it sucks to see as a fan. I bought 2 of their albums and I don't see myself going back

Julie (the birthday girl) said the n word, she apologized too, with a handwritten letter

So she knew how things go, and it her party with that theme so the fault fall on her (she is the leader and the oldest no?). She comes of have pick any other theme, anything but she chose this

  • In the positive side, their North America tour is over.

Maybe they just won't be able to tour the USA for the next 5 years, they will have to stick with just doing Asian, Latin America and Europe.

I guess sometimes people only learn the hard way! Looks like a lot of their big fan accounts were run by either Black or Latin people or just doesn’t tolerate racial ignorance :!: (if you can call it that anymore?)

I’ve found out actually a large part of their fandom (at least internationally) are actually Latin and Black!

Way to bite the hand that feeds you :?:

    What charting lmao

I meant all charting/physicals etc tbh not sure how well they did before overall but it was safe to say they were a top group for 5th gen standards! They at least had international support espeically for a non big 4 group

Not sure if they thought they would get a free pass since most of their fandom are Black/Latino or even worse they just don’t care

As it‘s not the first time and it’s 2025 kpop is more mainstream than ever! Very disappointing!

I learned last year a lot of fan accounts are run by black, south americans, and people with the muslim faith. I remember when the Brazil Twitter banned happen a lot of fan accounts had to take a break or shutdown due to being form Brazil. Then the Israel and Palenstine conflict also showed a lot of fan accounts are run by people with the Muslim faith. Then with KIOF a lot of their fan accounts are run by black people because I saw a lot of their fan accounts shutdown

It does show you how diverse kpop fandom can be, and why idols need to better educate themselves

Exactly! Call me gullible but I’d like to think people are more empathetic and educated on other peoples cultures/background too :!:

If people from all cultures love kpop and Korean culture the least idols can do is be respectful of others for their fans sakes

  • They should do a conference and cry a little bit, nowadays it's trendy to respond like that.

Who is still letting this dude in the building? Seriously, whose man is this? He's got to go. The thread got trashy the moment he walked in the door, and that's even with the trashy apology letter already in the building.

  • I hope Lee Haein is somewhere on a beach chilling like J Cole during the Kendrick Drake beef. 8)

(Fyi she's Kiof's ex-creative director who placed 1st in Idol School but was rigged out. She was also ranked 17th in Produce 101 and got scammed by CJ ENM into a contract. She was with Kiof since the beginning and wanted to make Igloo the title but S2 accused her of favoritism cause her friend produced it and they picked Get Loud as the title instead. They treated her like shit and she left and joined a new agency. She's producing for a new boy group Close Your Eyes!)

It is indeed frustrating to see the lack of accountability. Just acknowledge your wrongs and promise to do better and then follow through - that is what fans want.

I fully understand why black and Latina fans are hurt. No fans want to see their faves do something so hurtful and then not get it and continue to downplay the hurt they’ve caused.

If they continue like this - lots of ppl won’t respect them.

Yeah in an alternate universe she'd be fromis_9's center or in the Stone/Pledis gg (was supposed to be her, LSF Yunjin, Lee Sian, Yuri, and Natty) maybe taking on a role as a leader like Soyeon in G-IDLE with her producing talent. She was so close to debuting but just got shafted by corrupt producers and shitty companies. The Kiof incident is prob the only bullet she's dodged in her life. :cryingk:

You are obsessed man, you take everything to your own things. You tell people in this forum they are obsessed with NJ but you're the most neurotic one.

And I tell you what I've already told you, you don't run this site even if your egomaniac mind thinks so, so you can't tell people what they can or can't do.

You're fucking obsessed and it's sad

Oh poor little Mr. poteto head. You're free to make pedophilic jokes about groups with minors in them, but I'm not free to call you out for that idiotic behavior and your having the audacity to defend it?

Awww. Well aren't you the perfect widdle victim? Did the mean YamaChan ruin your enjoyment of the forum, and take you out of your comfort zone of making pathetic and perverted jokes about young girls and being degenerate enough to call it good humor?

You're right, poteto. I Don't run the forum. If I did, you would've been banned ages ago. But guess what? Because this is a forum, we can all express our views within the guidelines of the community. There is no rule against being disgusted with users who get off on making gutter trash comments about young girls.

So, yes, I am obsessed with making sure we are all very cognizant of what kind of person you are, when you decide to shit post again and pretend like you have any integrity or common decency as a person.

Deal with it or block me. I think it's sad that you can dish it out but cry like a little baby when you're on the receiving end.

I take back what I said earlier. I would not ban you. I would just let you know all the things about yourself that you really need to hear, but what I've posted so far will do.

Cry about it again and I'll show a little less restraint than I just did.

  • It was his post that trashed the thread and NOT the yappy little chihuahua equating people being upset about this situation to "woke culture"?

I don't care what he posts. If it's about general K-Pop, whatever, but I'll be damned if someone like him thinks anyone cares to hear opinions on racially sensitive issues from a person who legitimately thinks it's okay to make sexual jokes about minors.

He should've known better than to do that, and now he's on wrong end of the FAFO formula.
