Yeah, I'm officially lost for words! She want to debut a girl group younger than NewJeans!

Kpop is just a product for many many people
This woman can only sell what people want to buy
Have you read anything about "new nth room"?
Ignorance is a bliss, I guess
I don't know what that is. I assume it's better to keep it that way
-
interesting
I've said it before I have nothing against children debuting since it's completely theirs and their parents choice. I personally would never ever let my own children do so however I also wouldn't prevent others from having their chance

Same thing really.๐คฃ

I blame the parents. Those poor children. Someone save them. South Korea needs stricter rules about children in the entertainment industry

Well, if that's the case, Bts suddenly get so popular only because Bongo's dad was the former president of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Corporation. He definitely had some political connections that helped his son's company in some way, and helped in pushing his baby's little boy group to success. Then, rags to riches my ass ๐คฃ
At this point, Iโm impressed by how Armys are more obsessed with NJ than we are. This comment isnโt even related to the topic. At suggesting some teenage girl involved in some dirty politics drama is disgusting. Like grow up. Does liking a group of men really have some power to turn people into this?

this is just so dumb. no one wants kids this young. people like watching teens/young adults in kpop because that is the main age demographic of people who consume kpop!
only little kids are gonna wanna follow this group. similar to things like dance moms.
perhaps this will be good for longevity eventually, but at the beginning their fanbase is only gonna be kids.
also how old are these girls when they get training? i feel like in many kpop groups its young teens who go and audition because they want to, but kids this young? that's their parents putting them up to this

And this woman managed to make it worse! The biggest facepalm is not enough for this.
So, here are her new comments about the backlash!
QuoteSo, back then she wanted the new Blackpink with minors, and now, she wants NewJeans. Okay K-Diddy's wife.
We don't need a new Blackpink, let alone with minors.
QuoteShe elaborated, saying, "I envision a girl group consisting of four to five young members. The same old girl group formula just doesnโt work anymore. Typically, agencies plan and create girl groups, but we want to tailor our approach to meet the needs of the audience while incorporating CReA Studioโs distinct style."
The same formula doesn't work, yet she wants to copy BP and NJ with minors. She's not only a pedo, but dumb af as well. ๐

Bar codes on minors?
AND ITS NOT FUCKING SEXUAL?
I never paid attention to the show.
But it gives that Netflix show Cuties vibe combined with Schindler's list.
Fuck that.

I've said it before I have nothing against children debuting since it's completely theirs and their parents choice.
My issue with this is how much of it is THEIR choice and how much is it the parents choice being forced on the kid?
I remember as a kid being dragged to tennis lessons for months. I hated it, Dad loved tennis and wanted me to play.
I had to have a huge crash out one weekend before lessons for him to realise it wasn't MY choice.

that does become a problem but that's a problem one has with one's parents and one's parents not looking out for their kid's best interests
as you said you had issues with it with regards to playing tennis - I also see it with kids whether it be extra afternoon tutoring sessions or sports or musical instruments or acting or beauty contests and thus not unique to kpop per se.
In every situation where there is a child who undertakes some activity whether for profit or otherwise there will always be the issue of whether they are doing it voluntarily or under pressure from one's parents but does that mean we should remove all ability for kids to undertake such activities in the first place?
