    New song ‘earthquake’ debuts at #110 on Global Spotify with 1.87 million streams. Flower in 2023 debuted at #6 on global spotify with 4.67M streams. The difference is a lot.


    She went the kpop route with a schedule, teaser and everything. Fans were praising the rollout too.


    Do you think the frequent back to back music released plays a part in hurting the amount of streams? Cuz earthquake is a bop to me!

    Back to back releases did kind of affect of her streams. You kind of lose interest.

    Unlike her previous song, Earthquake isn't as catchy. Also, when it comes to solo releases, fans tend to focus more on their biases music.


    We'll see if it rise tomorrow.

    Because before BLACKPINK's audience only had a few songs to stream, so they used to treat their solo songs as group comebacks, since It was an oasis in the middle of the desert.


    Nowdays, they have away too many releases dropped and coming up to focus on and they can be more selective on what they like and what they don't.


    More songs = more streams per song spaced out. It's not rocket science.

    I mean seems like Asia streams for her are quite bad when normally they would be a strong point, SEA streams quite low.


    Her Youtube video streams were quite decent but yeah sucks, Blinks being very spread out just hurts their solo releases more because they are quite close together.


    Lisa gets loads of support from SEA but they ignored Jisoo I guess.

    Simple, people don't like EDM, the only people who listen to her songs are her fans and some random person who's interested in what she's doing. The worst part is that her album is the most basic EDM album ever, if you search for EDM songs on YT, you'd find 100s with the same sound.


    The success of FLOWER was pretty much a miracle! BP was in their peak, not anymore.


    BTW, I've seen so many people saying Jisoo doing the Kpop route. WHAT? Her album has NOTHING to do with Kpop! This is not how Kpop sounds like! This is 100% your usual Western EDM album!


    Her numbers, both digitals and physicals, and charts showing what a fan love can do without the general public!

    I said this all the time when BLINKS mentioned that no one can beat them on Spotify. I told them, the minute their discography is going to be bigger, their Spotify stats will decrease! It's much easier to stream 1-5 songs than 100!

    Blackpink is losing relevance. It happens, the group is 9 years old and pretty much disbanded (and having a random reunion every 3 years to milk the few remaining Blinks doesnt count as being an "active" group). There are only a few OT4 Blinks left, all the solo stans have run off into their own corners.

    They are releasing everything at the same time, hence the results are like this.


    I honestly blame YG for rushing their solo projects because of their group cb.

    They can’t even promote these songs properly because of it.


    BP girls seriously had some bangers but because they have limited time, their songs couldn’t take off globally.


    Apt is an exception cuz it had S- Class artist on it. And honestly only Atlantic records is doing good job at promoting. Other labels of BP girls aren’t trying their best.


    Like how do you fumble New Woman and Born Again with pretty big A-list celebrities on it. I honestly don’t know. It had good debut numbers due to Lisa’s fandom but it didn’t became a hit because RCA didn’t promote the song properly or at all.


    Also I think Jisoo had less than 24 hours of tracking, right?

    I don't think that's the case! They don't release their albums at the same time, and it's not like they did any promotion in the past couple of years anyway. They don't have to do much, because they're one of the most popular group of the past 9 years! Their fandom is known for streaming their songs 24/7, so this is a weak argument, honestly.


    I'm pretty sure all the songs that Lisa released were a massive success in the West! The same goes for Jennie, but not on the same level, and let's not talk about Rose and her success. Even tho it's only APT, basically.


    So, it's only Jisoon and no, it's not about tracking period. Jisoo don't chart in Korea, she's not even in the TOP50! Her peak was #65!


    17M views on YT in 2 days.


    On Spotify these are her stats after 2 days: with more than 80M playlisting btw!

    Like I said above: Even Blackpink will lose their popularity at one point, and the minute they will have more than 2 songs as soloists they won't have 1B streams.


    Now, don't get me wrong, their numbers are still great, but not compared to themselves! This happens when you don't have the backing of a BIG4 agency!
