Which RED VELVET album is the best of All-Time?

  • Happiness is far better production wise. But you can have a different opinion about which one you like more. Maybe you're not into music production, and you only care about the result, but I'm not.

Also, don't act like as if 8/10 is a low score, please! I feel like I'm talking to another Kdrama fan who don't like to give lower score than 9/10. 🤣 I love RV, but I'm not gonna be biased.

    :meme-sure-jan:

loud and catchy melodie doesn't mean better production ^^ . just the vocals alone in km obliterates happinuguness :meme-trying-not-to-laugh: .

    "Money can't buy sixth sense"

  • I can't remember anything they have released after Red Flavor, which shows how steep was the decline in my interest.

    Wow!

  • comparing happinugu to KC :meme-spit-water: :meme-trying-not-to-laugh: .

Honestly, Happiness is the best RV Red song. So beautifully done with a very healthy meaning. Kindom Come is one of their best Velvet songs.

"Bad Boy" was iconic and needs no introduction.

"Kingdom Come" is by far one of the greatest B-sides and R&B ballads to ever exist. In my opinion, it's a key reason this album has a slight edge over 2019's 'The ReVe Festival' Finale.

"Peak-A-Boo" was a great title track in its own right.

"Look" has a chill retro sound that many will appreciate.

"I Just" apparently has lyrics that are somber, but it sounds so chill like a song you could just vibe to whenever.

"My Second Date" has the iconic cheery Red Velvet signature sound.

2018 was such a great year for K-pop, and Red Velvet started off strong with this release. I remember the talks about "Bad Boy" being SOTY. It was memorable for me because I got into Red Velvet right around this time, but mainly for that song.

I'll give an honorable mention to 2019's 'The ReVe Festival' Finale because it was also strong all throughout. Along with "Psycho," I enjoy the B-sides. I love "Sunny Side Up!" and "In & Out."

  • In my previous, I didn't mention the RBB EP because I thought it would have been unfair to compare a full album with an EP, but I'll have to talk about this one separately.

This is a no-skip EP for me! I love all the songs. "RBB (Really Bad Boy)" grew on me, but when it did, I really appreciated it. R&B isn't just all about slow ballads. R&B also has this fun, bright, and upbeat side that often goes unnoticed, and that's what "RBB (Really Bad Boy)" is.

"So Good" is such a great R&B ballad that shares the same table with "Kingdom Come." It showcases the members' vocals beautifully.

"Butterflies" is a cute, fun B-side. One of my fondest memories was watching the comeback stage performance for it. I was getting deeper into 3rd-gen K-pop during this time, so it was fun diving into these things.

"Sassy Me" is classic quirky Red Velvet.

"Taste" has that chill, night-out sound that seems to be a recurring vibe in some of Red Velvet's B-sides throughout their discography. "Look," "Ladies Night," and "Night Drive" are the other ones.

  • Sorry kiddo, I'm not gonna argue with someone who never worked on a song before and can't differentiate a catchy melody and a well-produced song.

Like I said, you can have your own opinion, stop arguing with me!

'never worked on a song' :meme-lemonposting: . as if that means anything, there are trillions of people working on songs, doesn't mean they're that good :siptear: .

we got another proof right here when someone prefers happywhatever to kingdom queen ^^ .

    don't get me wrong , it's a fine song, but kc is a masterpiece :pepe-shrug: .

Girly, you don't understand what I mean. You look at songs as a normal person who just want to listen to a song.

I listen to songs as a fan and as someone who appreciate the producing side of it as well. And if I think, the composition, editing, mixing, etc are not good enough, I'm not gonna give the song 10/10.

I told you my reasoning, and all you did is spouting nonsense and called the song "Happynugu". Grow up, kid!

Don't why are you acting like as if I said KC is crap song. 8/10 is not a bad rating at all, it's literally above average! You can say it's a masterpiece, I don't mind. This thread is about personal opinions.

  • All i know is that i have ears, and i may not approach as technicallh as you (and thanks God for that!) but i am a passionated and obssessive music lover and just the vocals and the melodies of kg obliterates happiness :pepe-just-smile: . I barely need to go even further.

Of course music can be subjectic so fair enough, but to me someone who prefers happiness to KC is severly lacking in taste. SnS.

Or maybe rnb isn't a genra you like much :wellr: .

RnB isn't the genre I like? LOL! Okay Jon Snow. 🤣

The Queen of RnB (Wheein) is literally my favorite. I love every genre, except EDM or more like techno and similar to that.

Who's lacking in taste is just a question of point of view. 🤣
