4th gen gg's and the re-debut situations

Half of ive and ssera members have re debuted, (and to mention, the redebut members are the most popular ones), hence this groups are somehow semi redebut projects from 2018 as well. g idle somehow also had a semi redebut after Soojin left. Then the Baby monster and Fifty Fifty situation DUH. and now NEWJEANS?!

This generation debates is so confusing anyway, i don't even think we're in the 5th gen yet, even though Illit's very successful debut might have fooled some people. I think we're in the 4.5 gen, around the end of it. but it's almost irrelevent as of now. Illit, Meovv, and Kiof being the only major ggs who had their debut in the '5th' gen.

There were ALOT of debuts in 2022/23 which I think was 4th gen. But now most of this groups have redebuted in 2024/2025. so people may say they're 5th gen? regardless of weather we are really in the 5th gen or not, the media narrative are so stuck on it that it may actually be how all these redebut ggs are gonna be called.

so now the 5th gen gg are: Kiof, Illit, Baby Monsters, 50 50, Meovv, and the last in commers NewJeans and SMGG25. aespa being the only relevent full on real 4th gen gg with no official redebut (even tho this year did feel like a redebut for them as well, but it technicaly wasn't).

BUT BRO, hear me out, forget 4th gen or 5th gen debates, i think we are deep into the re-debut generation!

YEAH, another example! i forgot them sorry. But again, another gg who redebuted into anothe generation. but the difference is that Viviz feels more like a sub unit rather than a gfriend redebut. that's why i didn't mention them probably...

yes, that performance is the equivalent of the 2016 all 3rd gen ggs performance of ITNW.

just like then, it seems like sm gg just kicked of the start of a generation 2014 (RV) and 2020/21 (aespa) until the next gen fully kicked off a year later.

but the diffence on the 4th gen is ALL the redebuts! something is definitly shacking up the kpop scene!

well ok but the generation think does matter to some extent. and what i said is that even thought we're not in the fifty gen, illit, meovv, babymon, fifty fifty and now jeanz are gonna be called 5th gen ggs by most of the community and the media. and they're gonna be compared in their achievements and stuff...

well technically 'Jeanz' will debut in 2025 which is near 5th gen if not actually '5th gen' according to all the people and media who call illit, kiof and bm 5th gen. so yes 'Jeanz' would be 5th gen.
