Hidden Gems #819: La Luna by HA:TFELT

I'll point out that Ha:tfelt first debuted as a solo artist in July 2014, over a year after Wonder Girls' hiatus started in early 2013. By comparison, Sunmi's solo debut happened much sooner, in August 2013. Ha:tfelt then paused her solo career once Wonder Girls came ba‍ck together in 2015, but resumed it following the group's disbandment in February 2017.

I am not nearly as familiar with Wonder girls as I should be or would like to be. I think she does the Latin sound right or at least the way I like it. I'm kind of burned out on the pure Latin sound so mixing it up a bit is refreshing. I love the way her voice sounds when she's holding those long vowel sounds.

I find the concept of storytelling with one person in a mask to be very interesting. Something about it is unnerving and it adds a layer of mystery. The driving on a planet's ring is a cool idea too.

I can't decide if I like this or Happy Now more. I like the both for different reasons. I call it a tie. I also really like Satellite.

A legendary song by a queen. It's one of my favorite title tracks by HA:TFLET. I love how simple it's for a latin pop song and very simple at the same time.
