No, this isn't all about NewJeans
Older groups (~3rd gen and before ) all seem to have members coming out with successful solos, or the group still has relevance. Like, I can at least imagine the members of most older groups coming out with solos. I can't say the same for newer groups. I think K-pop as a whole is becoming more and more factory-line oriented and over saturated as we all know. For many newer groups, I genuinely cannot see the members coming out with successful solo ALBUMS. Albums specifically, not singles. I can only see and imagine them as part of the group. Maybe there's just too many relevant new groups and the members lack individuality. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, but how can a group go on forever and forever as the whole group without some solos?
