I worry about the longevity and future of newer groups

Because a lot of newer gen groups don’t have talent either in rapping or singing!

Notice how all renowned soloists from past gens either can rap or sing well

Now autotune is doing all the job in the groups and when those idols branch out they can’t become successful soloist in long term! Maybe their first few projects can be successful but then it will flop

what groups?

Especially with the over-saturation of girl groups, it will be tough for many.

ı mean 4 and 5 gens are really really hopeless. after seeing 3. gen you can't take new gen. seriously. but ı see potantial on some ıdols to be successful soloist not sure about long-lived groups tho. while we will definitely see fewer solo acts I don't see it as a cause for concern either. especially for solo, there are solid candidates, on the other hand, I really don't see any newer groups lasting long tbh. maybe 2. and3. gens are too powerful ıdk.

It's nothing really new, kpop groups have been "manufactured" from day one and lack in indivudual skills is nothing new. Few members are anything without their group. It was like that in 2nd Generation, is like that today. Overall maybe the skills are a bit better today, but no big difference what I can see.

Idk I can see (Itzy) Ryujin, Yuna, Lia (if she wants it), Yeji, (Aespa) Karina, Winter, (NJ) Danielle, Hanni, Haerin (if she wants it and maybe with her voice), a couple of members from Le Sse but I can't remember their names, (Illit) Minji, Wonhee, Moka and low-key Yuna.

I'm sure there's more ppl tho

that's because more and more groups are building up fandoms and it's fandoms who usually sustain an idol's career into longevity

for example Tzuyu in twice - not the best singer not the best dancer but she released a successful album because of the fandom

the question then becomes what does one consider a successful album - charting? or sales?

in terms of future groups 4th onwards - if they can sustain the fandom there's nothing to suggest that any solo debuts from said group won't be successful in terms of sales and in terms of charting - well that would depend on the song

well if it charted great and sold great why would one consider the song unknown?

If one is referencing how popular something is outside the fandom then do you mean K-charts since if it charts high on melon/instiz then it means it is popular amongst the GP is that what you mean?

Id say any idol can probably be semi successful with the right marketing
