But it was very weird to see how much the issue of abortion dominates American politics, been so for decades. It is the moral litmus test.

By now everyone knows everyone else's positions, one would think the issue would be sidelined, but not.

As to it causing a "battle of sexes"

When women assert "my body my choice" and cut men from the conversation. from accountability (when they are the impregnators), from financial freedom- when man doesn't want the child but woman does etc., yet they still expect men to care about that issue?

That is a dissonance and men might indeed discount it as an issue while voting.
