Do you stand with New Jeans?

  • I feel bad for them if they're genuinely being mistreated, but I don't support the lack of professionalism & common sense they're starting to display publicly. They're getting too big for their britches under MHJ's guidance and will end up sabotaging their own careers in short order if they continue like this. All for a woman who insults them behind their backs. This is just another reason why idols should debut older, the naivete & lack of business acumen.

  • Yes ofc. I support the girls. I just hope MHJ really take care of them after this (if they actually choose to terminate the contract with Ador). If not, well i hope somebody or some agency can take them and debut all together again. They're too talented to get wasted.

  • Yes, even if they make some business related mistakes. Idc.

If they want out, I want them out. If they want to stay in Hybe, I want them to stay in hybe. If they want to work under MHJ, I want them to work under MHJ.

  • I stand with NewJeans not New Jeans. But seriously yes, how could you not? I have my doubts about MHJ, she wasn't exactly a non-controversial person prior to this and has been a large part of what happened here. But there is much we probably do not know and I will always side with the idols first.

And I empathize with their fans because I would already feel shitty enough if my beloved faves were going through this, and having other fandoms pile on top only makes it worse. Some people just need to have a bit more empathy. It's possible to disagree with everything but still show support I guess.

  • What is astonishing to me is,

How HYBE doesn't seem to be worried that they are going to destroy an immensely successful act, based on whatever corporate infighting.

And HYBE is merely the latest such agency to behave so.

It proves that whatever fandoms may think, to the agencies Groups are replaceable seasonal products of transient value.

I also wonder whether BTS members will show any sign of support. ARMY has been claiming they are very supporting of their juniors.

And in HYBE,have great influence etc.

If they are silent, then even BTS is a dispensible product to HYBE. Not great and powerful as ARMY would like to believe.

  • Armies generally are not going to support NJ due to MHJ.

I think in that sense, BTS will not be supporting NJ too given the sentiment of their fanbase + their close relationship with Bang PD.

In general, i dont think any of the HYBE groups will show support for NJ. At best they will stay neutral / silent on this matter. After all, if they get involved, their career is at stake too

  • They have gamebros working in their management who treat idols like fast fashion - just a fast cash grab. They dgaf about creativity/careers/longevity/music as long as they can make quick cash.

  • Yes of course :!: when you really focus in the whole situation this has been something brewing since their debut when Hybe promised their debut first then blindsided them :?: i know it doesn’t really matter who debuted first but it sets the tone of respect Hybe shows them :( these girls are fighting for their careers because without MHJ there they will be put on hiatus for who knows how long and the childish bullying going on bts

this detail is lost on a lot of people, or they simply don't care

The situation with NJ and their unwavering support for MHJ is becoming increasingly problematic. For the first time, we’re seeing a group claim they can't accomplish anything without MHJ’s involvement. This dependency is creating a major issue.

Hybe is also struggling to collaborate effectively with them, as NJ focus is excessively centred on MHJ and anything Hybe says won't land on the other ear. Consequently, Hybe has many groups and trainees, so NJ is disposable as it comes. The work environment is becoming increasingly hostile, with daily scrutiny and tensions exacerbated by MHJ’s constant interference. It’s clear that the ongoing manipulation and schemes are unacceptable. Simply put, the situation with MHJ and NJ has reached a breaking point when it's also affecting their other groups.

I am not asking about Army, but BTS.

If they can have a strong relationship with BSH, then why can't NJ have with MHJ.

if BTS is silent then the ARMY boast of them being supportive of juniors, of being influential is empty. They are yet another powerless group subject to corporate whims.

Not just HYBE, FIFTY FIFTY, LOONA are other recent cases

With big agencies, groups are like cars on production line. They know that there will always be fans to support the next model they put out, never mind if the scrap the previous model.

There is a good supply of aspiring idols, so they don't care if one fizzles out.

Yet another evidence that in Kpop, it is not the music or performance, that's the product. But idols themselves.

That's an excuse, as though there haven't been "problematic" executives in Kpop before from Lee Soo Man to Bang Si Hyuk himself

And it is not just HYBE, in Kpop when the choice is to be made between the artist and the executive, the pattern has been to favour the executive.

Unless the artist goes to the courts.

If I were a majority stockholder in HYBE, I would expect all executives to swallow their bloody egos - MHJ or BSH, to keep a profitable group going.

And whatever allegations are made against MHJ, it is a fact that she has built the most fantastically successful group since Blackpink's debut.

Frankly she is more valuable than even NJ, for she can continue to build more successful groups. Her track record is phenomenal since SM.

let her consult shamans, pastors, mullahs who cares, HYBE should just sit back and count the money she brings.

  • The only one who might be able to speak at this point is Jin, with the others still being actively enlisted. It’s probably in his best interest to remain neutral. We don’t really know what is going on behind the scenes and if it’s not really NJ being treated unfair why would they speak up. I just hope they know what they are doing, they are about to lose everything if they don’t.

  • Yes.

Anyone voting no is morally corrupt at this point.

All I see from Hybe defenders is judgement and toxicity based on assumptions and made up scenarios, or demonstrating their false concern about the NJ member's best interests.

The facts are there and New Jeans does not deserve the treatment they have and are getting.

The hypocrisy of Hybe defenders is what I find truly disgusting.

Everyone single one of you except the most low IQ trolls would be against Hybe or any other company if they did this to your own faves.

NJ say they are being treated unfair.

If there any reason not to believe them?

In every other case people support the idols against the agency.

It is strange that benefit of doubt is not given to NJ.

Is that to defend the silence of BTS?

Otherwise they are proven as either unsympathetic or powerless.

The can make statements for global peace & BLM. But what's happening in their own company or in their own country (Deep fake abuse) - they are silent.

  • I wish the best for the girls' health and safety, but within the frame of reference of "artists vs label," I am neutral and stand with neither side. I'll wait to see what they can present in court if it gets there.
