  • Oh this is gonna anger so many people who daily write obituaries about the end of BTS in Korea due to their "bad rep with gp"

    Let me tag WhyKnock

  • Jungkookie making it to top 5 in the idol list with just 1 album release and officially debuting a year ago...also being the youngest.

And Jimin top 10, after all that hate and claims that BTS have no individual name recognition in SK!!!

  • When they say 19th to 23rd as period of survey do they mean August...as in the midst of Kmedia and Kpop stans bullying of Suga and trying to tell us that gp has cancelled BTS, cause if that is the case then :meme-wait-what:

This is actually all you need to know to not take the list too seriously in terms of quality of artist, which some people will do. Good for a popularity heat check as is intended though.

Sure babe or dude....always love the Kpop stans who go around doing quality control and issuing quality certificates.

  • Already knew from your earlier posts that you'd be one of the ones to not take the list for what it's for.

It literally says most loved and popular, you had to make it about quality...I took it for exactly what it was instead of linking it to quality even once and trying to issue certificates targetting specific idols.

  • My guy God doesn’t have a gender :meme-excuse-me:

Then you shouldn't have any problem with my post since I said merely verbalized what you already think about the poll.

  • Cho Yong Pil, is the man.. In his 70s and still ruling Korea.

Would any Kpop idol ever match his longevity and mastery?

    IU might.

    LYW might.

G-Dragon, could have, but he seems to have stepped down his singing.

From BTS, probably Jungkook has the most potential, but he has to make the choice between Korea and the World, eventually.

At this point JK is SolUnit, not a Soloist.

(Subunit of one member of popular groups leveraging group fandom)

Only when BTS goes inactive for sometime, will the truth about his Popularity truly known.

But he has they potential, more than the other 6, at this point.

  • Then you shouldn't have any problem with my post since I said merely verbalized what you already think about the poll.

No, all you verbalised is what I already knew about this making a lot of people pressed hence the immediate issuance of subjective quality certificates.

  • What am I supposed to be pressed about exactly?

I mean being a typical Kpop fan who gets pressed when their faves do not rank high enough on lists so make justifications about it not being quality enough or other excuses to dismiss lists...like I said typical

  • Not bad for a group that has been on hiatus for 2 years now and had all members enlisted through majority of this year and even currently bar Jin.......

Reminds me how Jin recently scored super high ratings for a show he was on

In a country with a population of 50 million people, based on the votes of 1000 people, a conclusion was made about popularity. To be fair, it was possible to make an online vote, where many more people would take part, based on this, to make some kind of conclusion. Too small a sample of people.

  • When they say 19th to 23rd as period of survey do they mean August...as in the midst of Kmedia and Kpop stans bullying of Suga and trying to tell us that gp has cancelled BTS, cause if that is the case then :meme-wait-what:

I would have believed this was recency bias if I didn’t see all those old names on the list

Btw these results just go to prove that the kmedia really had an agenda of overly exaggerating a minor incident(no matter how you look at it) even going to the extent of making false stories to drive this narrative. And now these overzealous journalists are not giving the same enthusiastic energy towards the recent events of sexual abuse against Korean women.

Their disgraceful journalism deserves to be called out

  • Jin has been doing well with variety shows. Happy for him.

  • Jungkook should be number 3. He achieved more with his short solo career than most artists on that list.

Not to mention the fact that he has had the least promo in Korea...just 3 music show performances and that is it!!! And he enlisted barely a month after his solo debut album release.
