Is kpop overly sexualized?

When have Kpop companies ever listened to or even acknowledged the complaints of "the Kpop community" on matters such as this? I can't think of any examples. I've seen plenty of complaining, but they're usually talking into the void.
well the issue does get raised rather quickly, you have to admit that, we're talking about Kpop fandom, the place where even a small issue will get turned into a big issue and everything that Idols does is heavily monitored on the daily
and companies won't openly acknowledge the complaints is not anything unheard-of or new but obviously they do take complaints from 'the Kpop community' into consideration or else where would Kpop be now?
if there is a significant issue that needs attention then the matter will be addressed according to the severity of the issue.
if you feel the issues are not dealt with appropriately then you can by all means raise the awareness of the issue even more and maybe even boycott the company in your own way and persuade others to join you to have a bigger voice.

I feel like Western music is more like that.
But well... some kpop fans write very feral smut fanfics. (but those are dirtier than most kpop music videos and stuff.)
-
then what about Western music?!

I will consider the possibility of it being oversexualized once sexy concepts return for a year or more across the groups.

no I dont think its overly sexualized and why would it be? One thing that appeals to many is the guise of innocence that kpop idols have. If they were sexualized more like in the west, that innocence goes away.
I guess what im saying is kpop is sexualized, but only as much as it needs to be to maintain and not harm the parasocial relationship lol.

Not really, it's quite tame, especially compared to most other music/media.

Kpop was more sexualized back in the days than now. I mean, who remembers the banned Brown Eyed Girls MV?😅 And this is nothing special, honestly.

But even without that, it was sensual as hell! Those scenes with the fruits still makes me laugh, honestly.😂

When I was younger like (12 or 13) years old I used to be a huge fan of groups like EXO and Seventeen. Now as much as I still love them I can’t help but think back to fancams from concerts where they would be doing all these strange sexual dances like going shirtless and pounding the floor or humping the air/ humping a cane (artificial love fancams if you know you know).
Now I don’t deny that these dudes are good looking and probably spent a lot of time and money working on their bodies, but when I think about how the entire audience consisted of mainly young teenagers and preteens I started to feel uncomfortable with the fact that they were being exposed to these kinds of performances.
I don’t mean to give off boomer energy, but recently I’ve started to doubt altogether whether idols are really a good influence all together. Even if you put the uncomfortable sexual themes aside, I don’t like how they promote this materialistic consumption oriented lifestyle through endorsements of luxury products like Dior or YSL or whatever. Promoting brands to youth that can cost potentially thousands of dollars and normalizing luxury is really something we can do without. Why can’t they just do some weird sojwith groups like newjeans etc….
Congratulations 👏 you finally get it. No I'm not patronizing you. Yes kpop was never some pure wholesome thing, it's a job about making money, fans are the ATM 🏧 that's all you are $. Why else is there tons of merch for each idol and the multiple copies of the same album etc. the need to build up the cult mentality fan base and parasocial relationship which are wholly unhealthy. It's all done so YOU the fan NEEDS the idol like a drug, and want them like a sex toy and a boyfriend agencies and idols prey on the fact these teen pre teen girls are just getting into the hormones and omg they are Soo hott phase, why they hump the air show abs and go shirtless Soo much all to lure you in to keep paying money 💰 You are just lucky kpop hasn't gotten to the levels of Japan with Jpop. You can literally no bullshit but a certain amount of albums and like a fan sign raffle win the chance to spend the night alone with the idol. There's plenty of documentation of fans winning a good night fuck with their favorite idol of x Jpop group
