What type of world tour will NewJeans hold?

IVE's tour venues in Korea-Japan-SEA-US are exactly what I expect for NewJeans's first tour. Except they won't go to Europe, Latam nor Oceania like all HYBE groups sans BTS.

I would compare that to IVE, who have a successful first world tour and two shows at the Tokyo Dome in the fall and an additional third during their Encore Tour.

They recently had a very convincing performance here in Germany in Berlin at the Mercedes Benz Arena and could have sold out one or two more arenas here in Germany.

Even if their comeback isn't quite as successful, people want to see IVE because of their hits like After Like, Love Dive and I Am.

NewJeans also have many big hits like OMG, Ditto and Super Shy. They also have their successful two-day Bunny Camp at the Tokyo Dome at exactly the right time and with that they have put an end to their difficult last few weeks in one fell swoop.

With that they have also ridiculed and trampled all those disgusting haters and influencers who want to incite other people against NewJeans, all that cowardly filth that poisons the global K-Pop community. Get rid of them, they should be banned from social media and forums.

you gotta remember that these days a lot of venues might already be booked so even if a group does a smaller venue it doesn't mean they couldn't necessarily do a bigger venue since that bigger venue might already be prebooked

IDGAF they have to tour Europe, at least Paris & London - the demand is there! even LatinAM is massive with tokkis especially if you saw music bank last year. They could easily fill football stadiums in Australia & Canada along with LA & NYC (maybe SF & Texas as well). For asia it’s pretty much a lock, Vietnam/Phillipines you can guarantee they’ll sell out any venue

Esquire Korea also confirmed it too on their Instagram so this one is most likely legit. But the Calvin Klein one I agree, that site is the only one that reported it. We’ll find out soon enough I guess.

Take MCG stadium in Melbourne as example.

MCG has a capacity of 95 000 seats and 5000 standing.

Only big names like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, Eminem, Billie Joel and Guns and Roses managed to fill up MCG stadium up to 110,000 approx.

BTW: Big Bang only did Rod Laver arena ( 14800 capacity approx) for a two nights (?) at their height.

Perhaps in Asia, stadium is achievable but Australia? We'll see.

15~21k arena in usa and canada. 10k arena in Europe if they go there. +20k arena and maybe even stadiums in Asia.

It's important to take in consideration that HYBE likes to play safe in the first world tour. Even If It might be obvious that the act can sell out bigger venues, NewJeans might start playing even in theaters. We will see.

I chose 20 to 29K because that could be a good size for them.

Btw, ARENAS do not "average" out to a capacity of over 30k. Most seat less than 20k, which is what a NJ world tour would look like.

"Normal Twice numbers" are also essentially the same as BP's. They perform in a lot of the same venues.

Yeah... you can't do that. Their most recent tours included a number of stadiums and not just arenas, so your numbers for an "arena average" were never going to be accurate. It's also impossible that you arrived at such different averages for the two groups if you were only counting their arena shows, or even their disparate number of stadium shows for that matter, if you were actually doing the math correctly. Twice didn't sell only 2/3rds of each venue.

TWICE has averaged 25k with six shows left, which will put their average over 29k.

Twice: 12,560

Blackpink: 13,256

You can tell I'm being honest too, since I'm admitting BP's result was higher. Not that it really matters, since neither group actually performed in just arenas, but this is around what you can reasonably expect for a first NJ tour.

You're using North American dates (their first) on a tour from 5 years ago that had practically no promotion (or budget) whatsoever as evidence that they can't sell tickets?

As I said, supply couldn't even come close to keeping pace with demand on their most recent tour.

I live in Texas. If you asked 90% (maybe higher) who Newjeans is they would have no freaking clue who they are. No idea. Twice played in Ft Worth at Dickie’s area which has 14,000. NJ doesn’t have even close to Twice’s following (mainly because they are young).
