Math is not something everyone excels in as we know so let me explain, what you see is only top 5 ranks and not actual percentage of votes or even number of votes across all age groups. There are artists beyond top 5 too apart from the data shared in OP. If you have followed previous Gallup surveys you would know that BTS always receive the most votes amongst Kpop acts in 40 plus demo, so just because they are not seen in top 5 in that demo, does not mean they haven't received votes in those demos.
Additionally since the sample size is just 3000, the difference in votes is minimal and is not really demonstrated fully by the ranking.

I don't even want to talk about the trottists. They are not relevant as far as the world is concerned.
However, it seems the restoration of the 1,345 years old to the throne of KPop has taken place!

Only you are stupid enough to expect a group which hasn't released anything for more than a year and announced hiatus more than 2 years ago to top the ranking of the survey taken on the quarterly basis.
IU released music in this quarter so if you were not expecting to see her here at least in the top 3 then you are actually dumb....

My post said that BTS retained a top 3 stop even when during the survey period all members were in the military enlisted, which is a fact. Now let's see when IU released her last album, well it was a month prior to the survey. The last time BTS released a proper album was 4 years back...see the difference

Also BTS is the most popular artist among female teens. Their fandom will always grow.
Surprised to see just one non BTS boy group and they only feature at the bottom in the 20s. Where’s boy next door, when they literally got a hit song in this quarter ??

As long as BTS continue to have a chokehold on their main fanbase, aka women in the 12-40 age group, they are sorted.

The key factor is the Koreans forgot BTS quite quickly, proving that it was foolish for them to bother to waste time in the military to placate the Koreans.
