Kim Garam's friends spilling the tea on Hybe. It's been a cruel summer for Hybe stans

Most k-pop stans already labeled her as a bully when the document about her punishment came out.
-
This.
I think just a few people have "amnesia" though, probably because they have some agenda.

doesn't matter...once her level 5 punishment classification was revealed, it was over for her regardless of whatever letters her bully posse collected.

I blame woke Kpop fans for this, not Hybe.
I remember the times that k-pop fans treated her photo card like some sort of cursed items...
The funniest part was Hybe defending Garam to the core.
Kpop stans were saying things like she's BSH ideal type or she knows someone from HYBE so that must be why they're defending her.
-
Even now I still have no clue if Garam was innocent or not. But either way, HYBE had to let go of her, her public opinion was in the trash.
Garam shared the full report herself basically the moment Hybe ended their contract with her.
School Violence Countermeasures Committee Result Notification

We inform you of the measures taken in Articles 16 and 17 on the prevention and countermeasures of school violence.
Offender student: Kim Garam, 7th grade, class 3
Victim student: [Redacted]
Cause of action: At the end of April to May 2018, due to [Redacted]’s mistake (talking behind her back, uploading friend’s underwear photo, etc), Kim Garam called her out to nearby elementary schools twice in the presence of several people and cursed them out, even through group chats, Ask app, etc.

As HYBE are bullies themselves, they can't keep an idol known to stand up against bullies and defend their friends. She had to go.

Tbh what happened to Garam was partly Hybe's fault but imo not due to malice - it's because Hybe's PR dept is truly just trash. Why would they first stay that "no school violence report exists" knowing full well that the report does exist? The contents of the report weren't even that bad - if they had mediaplayed smarter, they could've reframed the case, but their press releases always sound like teenage interns writing them.
I remember fighting in the trenches saying Garam's dismissal was ultimately on Hybe's head but the main narrative at the time was "it's all evil Kakao's sabotage". Funny how revisionist history works lol.

that's literally what Hybe tried to say back then, that she was only trying to defend her friend. That was their exact line to try and keep her in the group. And they got called lying mediaplayers for it, so...
but sure, after she's kicked out, it now benefits kpop fans to use her against Hybe so now she gets to be a victim I guess? People's conduct regarding this girl and that whole scandal was so damn gross.

Until they thought they would lose money, so they kicked her out.

This reminded me of hybe claiming they have evidence of mhj doing illegal breach of trust only to end up with nothing burger in the court 😂

Their first statements when the issue arose said too much
Source Music denies school bullying rumors raised against LE SSERAFIM member Kim GaramHYBE Labels and Source Music have issued an official statement in response to school bullying rumors raised against LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam.&am…www.allkpop.comFact is, Garam has a record for cyberbullying, her accuser does not.

it's obvious she was a troubled girl. And made enemies in elementary/middle school, clearly. That said that particular situation was complicated and if she hadn't come from a disadvantaged background, she wouldn't have gotten that record most likely. IIRC her mother said she agreed to it bc it put Garam in free counseling sessions. And that she didn't realise what it would mean for her in the long run, so she clearly didn't have access to a lawyer.
people were still absolutely vile about her online including allegations of her trading sexual favours bc Hybe tried to defend her for as long as they did. So to then turn around and try to use her as a blameless victim of Hybe's evil machinations for their fanwars is just more vile behaviour.

Is the tea in the room with us

this is just being obtuse
her friend was obviously mad on Garam's behalf, I'm sure Garam was bitter about the whole thing too. I'm sure she felt discarded. These are all STILL teenagers today, they were even younger then.
but the fact is their "personal letters" and character statements could have painted Garam as the second coming of Saint Teresa at that point and it woulnd't have swayed the public. After the other girl got a lawyer and publicly accused Hybe of shielding her bully, driving her to attempted suicide and the school violence document level 5 was published, it was over for Garam in the public eye. And Hybe still tried after that, so the idea that they only got her in the group to, what, negatively overshadow the debut of an already highly anticipated group and force them to rework almost all their pre-recorded content is just idiotic.
