Aside from being a YG group and YG himself broadcasting he is hoping BM to achieve BP level, one reason I see is their fans love to throw a lot of shade at other groups hence the hate for them. It was worse pre-debut.

Well. usually it's fans of quite similar groups arguing *(like same generation bf fighting bg of same generation and same generation gg fighting same generation gg).

One of the few exceptions is Army vs Blinks and Sones vs Sm boygroups

Before BM's debut, the other groups fandoms were inundated by some BM fans, but the general effect was now noticeable. It's also no surprise that Blinks has a close relationship with BM fans, thus a massive wave of fire will undoubtedly ensue.
