How have your favs changed the Kpop scene for the music industry in general?

For Snsd,

1. The group re-signing with the label and the members going different ways.

2. All members having serious different solo work from when rookies. Modelling, acting, variety shows, Osts. In some groups, all members are super successful that they don't have centres in the public eye.

3. Solo tours around Asia and NA for Tiffany.

4. Yoona changed the game for centers. Now, all centers can do anything beyond being visuals. They can have 20+ CFs a year.

5. Jessica, Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun proving that idols don't need huge labels to do what they want and proving that favouritism in labels is what denies many idols a chance to grow much bigger, so all should get the same push from their labels.

Exo;

1. Buying many albums and streaming. Exol showed people how to stream so hard and buy millions of albums even in China. Though it has a downside to it.

I think, the need to help their favs to grow as big as Exo pushed a lot of fans to find ways of supporting their idols and now, Kpop is much bigger than it was before.

FX and Red Velvet;

The original experimental concept queens. Now we see different groups not afraid of having different concepts from the usual normal and generic ones both for group and solo music.

(and notice the word "helped", in case anyone wants to go: "but But BUT My faves did it first!!!". It means I do not think they are the only ones who did something, but that they helped doing something)

I think EXO-Ls bulk buying is a bit exaggerrated (at the beginning), but regardless, EXO selling tons of albums even in the streaming/mp3 era did incentivize a lot of other fandoms to buy a lot of albums too after EXO just kept winning every album daesang for like 4 years in a row.

Also, now that I think about it, weren't EXO one of the first groups with lore too?

I know Exo did lore first too. I don't know of another.
