    Problem is that this and most articles like it are based mobile app usage from a a small subset of users and then extrapolated. Its not an exact metric by any means and the article even mentions two different metrics with different results.


    Youtube at its current trajectory might be ahead already or is very likely be in the near future, but fact is the top songs still get more streams on melon than they do on youtube. Going by the more serious study released back in august, youtube is dominant among college studens, but melon is still ahead in all other age groups

    You have that on melon and more tho if you know where to look, theres uls/streams for every single song top 200 going back years available from melon, down the demograpich age group and gender....hour by hour

    1. Kpop is global now. Globally successful groups get less than 2% of their revenue from Korea


    2. The Korea charts have been sajaegi since 2014 and earlier


    The charts that we should be looking at are Billboard global, Spotify global, Youtube global, Apple global etc.
