Just the recent gidle thing is another proof
They are afraid that one of this 4th gen might end up one day doing better than bp did during 3rd gen so they are always trying to destroy them before they get bigger and start "copying defamation" campaign

Technically yes. However, they are only 2 years younger than BP, and 5 years older than KIOF, so I included them in this list. I think KIOF applied the core of Gidle's success: gathering multi-talented idols which can be involved in songs production and provide the unique concept.
reve to aespa was pre-debut/debut thing because Irene was involved in a scandal. Nowadays, it's clear that aespa has a different genre, they are more into hip-hop and girl crush which makes aespa attractive for Blinks

but I'm assuming that it should start next year or close to it since 2018 was the start of the 4th and their contracts run till 2025 so next year is 2024 and that's probably a good start time???

It's simpler to track gen changes if we'll look to boy groups. Third gen was EXO and PSY era, fourth gen is BTS era. When Stray Kids will start outplay BTS in charts and win all MAMA/MMA awards, that would be a sign of new gen is coming.

I think it's too early to think that. As you said, the 7-year cycle since 2018 will end in 2025. So, there will be a first wave of disbandment like we observed with 2nd gen in 2016. fromis_9, gidle, rocket punch, cherry bullet should be in this queue (Loona stepped out a bit ahead of time, sorry).
I predict fifth gen transition nearly 2027, after contracts of aespa, itzy, stayc will be expired. -

if the 4th began in 2018 then no third gen group had contracts expired by then
my reasoning for stating next year is that if the 4th started and no third gen contract had expired when the 4th gen had started then one would assume the 5th gen to start before any of the 4th gen contracts had expired (through natural passing of time rather than external forces)
