Why is nobody standing up for Babymonster?

Every new gg gets the hate, did yall forget the amount of hate aespa and lesserafim got? On the top of that their stans pissed the fandoms of all top ggs with those "newjeans enders" "aespa enders" comments. There was even a thread here about them stealing lesserafim audience.

they are from the big4 not from a nugu/mid-tier company even if their song is lacklustre they will be just fine

Hear me out I would love to defend their song but I just dislike it it is not for me (this saying something as someone who consumes a lot of music sound from rock to ballads). Who knows though maybe it might grow on me????

I'm not going to become a Baemon defender or stan at all, I don't care THAT much.

But I gotta say the negativity on group and song is becoming silly. This coming from someone that has repeatedly called them a preschool group and said they still wear diapers.

People are constantly comparing the song to O.O as if they are comparable. They aren't.

O.O is honestly not just one of the worst debut songs in kpop, it's one of the worst kpop songs I've heard period. Maybe on the of the worst songs, period. It's not good in almost every metric. It's just dire and bad.

Batter Up was nowhere, nowhere near that bad at all.

It's a perfectly serviceable song, it's fine. It's just very average, a bit dated and a bit formulaic. As a debut from a group with these expectations, it is a let down, yes.

But at no point in the song does it plumb the horrific, almost Lovecraftian horror level terribleness of O.O

they are in a bad position because no one really knows about the status of BP. BM doesn't have a senior right now to at least publicly support them. BP has a big base and would help support a new group.

When TXT debuted they at least had interactions with BTS and BTS did promote them on Twitter and their reality show.

why does anyone need to stand up for them or is that the standard for kpop fanwars these days that one must stand up for one's group instead of just enjoying both the group and music in peace and quiet???
