I've posted about this guy before, he is literally ME when ranting about modern music. Of course he is 10000x more talented and smarter than me, his music knowledge and instrument playing are off the charts, guy's a genius. Y'all MUST browse some of his vids when you can.
The funny thing is he echoes what i've said repeatedly about local pop music vs Kpop. He's no fanboy of any Kpop lol but he figured out the same thing i did - that Kpop actually still tries to make a REAL SONG, and not just a 2 minute sample or vamp that gets released as a "song" by local acts. He's very kind about it but it's clear he has the same complaints about modern pop as i do.
But check out what he says about Butter, Seven, and Cupid. He calls them real songs, with excellent production values, and even expresses moments of joy and real interest when listening to them. Now if these songs can impress a boomer even older than me, then maybe it's time for me to revisit them.
