    Well,

    JYP obviously need to release better music.

    YG need to stop the quality over quantity shit and comeback at least 3-4 time within 2 years.

    SM just be a better company.


    Anyway they have passed their prime. They should have done something to expend their company size when they are still at their prime. They should have been more more competitive when big hit start to grow.

    Let’s wait another decade or two and see if HYBE is still maintaining their dominance, before speculating on what older companies, who have maintained their success for longer, need to do.

    Lol, with BTS alone, HYBE will automatically always be straight, have money, status and connections.


    Plus NewJeans adding on to that as we speak, and TXT is on the rise globally somewhat too.


    WEVERSE was created by HYBE, and the platform is expanding and has become the most popular technology platform IP in kpop.


    THEN theres still the new BigHit boy group and ADOR boy group, whos gonna be super popular from debut already.


    So I don't think HYBE will have anything to worry about for a good good good while lol.

    YG is a company of everything, music is just a adjecence at this point... they income and influence are very spread

    They need to be sold by companies with the same money as Hybe have now


    And of course those companies needs to open their wallets


    Kakao bought SM, but this isn't enough as Kakao never invest in their labels


    Ideally Naver would buy YG

    And CJ&M can buy JYP

    Kakao can end buying SM fully


    With 3 chaebols then can maybe start competing with Hybe, because the way I see it the 5th generation will just be Hybe playground

    As we’ve seen with SM and YG (i don’t really think JYP has had a point where their BG & GG dominated), but it’s really difficult to stay #1 for multiple generations. HYBE could be the special company to do it, but history says otherwise.


    New companies will be formed, new groups will debut, and new groups might magically form. If BTS has taught us anything, thinking the current top companies, will produce the top groups forever, isn’t a sound theory anymore.


    Will HYBE be a relevant and top company for years to come? Yes, but who knows what other groups/companies might come along.


    And not to mention, with how far social media is expanding, like we saw with 50/50, a no money, nugu company can do crazy things.

    TBH in another decade, there will only be 1-3 players in Kpop, just like how the US music industry has consolidated into the Big 3.

    JYP, CJ, and all the mid tier and nugu labels will all be consolidated into one of the two above or might form a 3rd super company just to survive.
