It just feels pretty low that MV have only 1.1M likes while their older songs may have closer to 4M

Agree. The Girls hate was really weird, I liked it since first listen (the only thing I would change is the dance break, it should be shorter)
Spicy is a good song but Girls is their most underrated title track for me.
Their best song and most unrated song is Life's Too Short. Overall their songs have been a bit of a disappointment for me, even if Next Level is pretty good also.
It's only been a few months since release, if the song really has staying power a wave of retroactive praise will come once people have had time to move on.
For me tho the title of most underrated Aespa title goes to Girls. I'm the blacksheep who actually liked it upon release and still will defend it now.

I'll tell you what killed 'Girls'. It was that goofy one legged choreo they did during the chorus, and that they dispatched Black Mamba so soon. How is SM gonna sell me on lore then kill off Black Mamba 2 years in? Talk about rushing the ending. Who's writing these scripts?!

Me being corny aside, this is truth. Black Mamba title track remains undefeated.
Maybe it's underrated because it's not that good, like a lot of their songs imo.
To be honest, I don't like "Spicy" much because it sounds too much like "Next Level," another song I'm not too crazy about.
If we're talking about their high-energy songs, I prefer "Black Mamba" and "Illusion." I look forward to when they release another song like either of those again.
I also think they deserve more love when it comes to slower R&B songs. "Thirsty" and "'Til We Meet Again" are good.
