Why do people think it's funny to drag idols english skills?

  • Jisoo's English pronunciation is fine in blackpinks english songs, Chung ha's was not.

    Wow!!!!!!

You are not native Spanish speaker. But you decided Chunga's was not!!!!

The Fu***** double standard. When one hand you are caring for your darling saying, "Why people thinking it is funny to drag idols english skill?",

Then one other hand you are saying this sh**.👏

English is my second language but I can speak it as fluent as native speakers. So, does it give me a pass to mock someone who is not being able to speak foreign language like English, Spanish, japanese & so on?!

My question, " Why people think it is funny to drag idols over speaking foreign language?"

Decorating your narratives to only protect your fav without calling out the actual problem is the primary cheapest tactics of some stans. Disgusted but not surprised.

  • I don't have a problem with idols or other artists not being able to pronounce words in a language that they're not fluent in. Be it Jisoo or Chungha i think it's disrespectful to judge them on that. Just have the same energy for all, you all just pick and choose on who it is ok to do it to.

  • this happens in pretty much every country, except for Japan. If you speak in broken/mispronounced, the locals laugh at you and stuff. I've had plenty of ahjummas laugh at me with my mediocre korean.

Poor way of your to handle embarrassement, ridiculous hypocrisy, & double dustbin standard.

    But though. :pepe-toast:

  • Welps, us Americans certainly aren't the brightest of people

    :pepefacepalm:

We are hella insensitive and think the world revolves around us LOL ;( Jisoo and whoever else speaks English not so fluently is doing fine. Since when did it become mandatory for idols to have to know English in the first place? when American artist tour non English speaking countries do they start speaking that native language?

    :wellr:

    Oh no....Excuse you?

That’s the whole point of your post isn’t it? That it’s not their native language...therefore they obviously aren’t gonna sound good?

An example of this is Jisoo from blackpink, why do you close minded people not understand that she is born and raised in Korea? She can't master english like you think she should, and she can understand a lot she just has a accent which is normal. That goes for every idol, it's not funny to say someone cant speak English or say they sound weird.

I really worry about American people sometimes, that's like me saying you should speak Fluent Korean because you listen to kpop, I dont understand why we make jokes about their pronunciation like it's funny when it's not.

Idols don't live in America, they dont have to study english for hours to be fluent. This ties in with fans commenting "speak english I cant understand" on Vlives. This is kpop, they sing and talk in korean. You learn Korean your self and stop flooding the comments with all that nonsense. It's so ignorant to me.

Don’t be a hypocritical cherry picker. Her spanish fans were delighted

  • Op I hope you realise that you shooted your whole argument in its figurative face with that comment about Chungha. You basically showed that you're only indignant because it happens to someone you like and not because you truly believe making fun of idols accents is wrong in itself.

Anyway, the people who make fun of idols accents when speaking foreign languages probably never had to learn a foreign language and use it conversationally in a relatively short time period.

Some NCT members speak up to 5 languages and it's incredibly admirable how hard they work and try to communicate with fans.
