Confront them. (3) 30%
In a normal social setting, like getting groceries or chilling at a wedding and they constantly bring it up or they spread rumours.
Today I heard that a few ex classmates keep telling everyone I got caught naked with my ex in school and cheated on him with seniors. I was 13 then and absolutely none of that is true.
I was aware of these rumours even back then and worse calling me a liar or saying I apparently told them I know celebrities or was a child model that got kicked out for sleeping with a janitor(what even?). I said none of that, yet half the school thought I did and I got called a liar and a whore. When I actually got selected onto the modelling team they told no one, but when I took a break for a month, the rumour that i got kicked out spread like wildfire lmao. What do ya do with these people?
Whatever achievement I have they wanna brand it as a lie, whatever I didn't do they repeat it soo many times that it becomes the truth. Since it's a small town these kids tell their parents and then they tell everyone. It was the most traumatising period of my life I still struggle to forget because of them. Jfc I can't believe they are still spreading bs about me 7 years later.
