Why do you think it's taking so long for JYP to debut a new korean boygroup?

  • It's been almost 6 years since Stray Kids was introduced as a group and their reality show started, not taking more than 1 month after It's end for them to release their first 'Mixtape' and only 3 months for the official debut.

But since 'LOUD' ended, Xdinary Heroes debuted within a smaller timeframe from Day6's debut, NMIXX already debuted - even though ITZY is a younger group -, NiziU Project 2 for the new japanese boygroup was just announced, while Niziu is even younger. And, on top of that there's this new A2K Project.

While the 'JYPLOUD' members keep being put on hold, despite a finished reality show, and even one of the winners members, Yoon Min, left the agency before the debut recently. Tired of waiting? Removed? Who knows...

I'm not exactly interested in the group itself, but the whole mystery about this situation makes me curious.

  • i want be surprised if he will do some kind of Sixteen, and bring Stray Kids to the table you know to boost popularity of new boys, probably will do it right before there will be some news that soon Stray Kids members need to enlist or something like that

Stray Kids won't face miliary in the next 5 years. Their eldest member to enlist is 24. Chan is a 97 liner, but he has only an australian citizenship and won't have to go.

Worst scenario for JYP if they don't debut this group as soon as possible to give them time to grow a fandom is If Stray Kids don't resign in 2025.

I don't know If the agency is confident that they will.

  • JYP probably did LOUD because of PSY. PSY needed a boy group and JYP likes to be on camera.

Also, JYP never wanted Yoonmin in the group. He didn’t like the fact he was old. He was the oldest out the bunch and pann and Korean fans of the group didn’t like how the group didn’t blend. They didn’t have harmony.

YoonMin was very old and apart from Keiji there was no visuals. Their DCinisde page dragged the hell outta that and complained about the visuals. Korean fans sent emails to JYP to reconsider the group because they would fail. Yes, they’re talented but korean fans were very angry that the only visual is the Japanese member.

The whole thought process behind LOUD was disorganized because it’s obvious JYP didn’t need another boy group when they already debuted Xdrinary Heroes.

But since Yoonmin left the group they’re rumoured to debut this year but knowing JYP they will probably have another debut show or something.

  • I just think... and what if they don't resign? Newer boygroups take time to reach their peak.

I should mention, due to SKZ/day6 (i can only assume) jyp wants all BGs to self write/produce now. its a requirement for nizi season2, and was a point in loud aswell, so they could ahve been sidelined for training

/e ^ also the point above, yoon bin was 22, and jype hasent done that in awhile, but was helping his buddy. LOUD was super young in the show outside of yoon bin

but as far as success, jype prob gonna try to push them in japan after skz success. LOUDs ace is japanese, so they should do well there off the start

He was originally supposed to do LOUD with YG, but we all know what happened there. Besides, why not connect all the other CEOs named J. Park to himself? He's probably also keeping an eye on The New Six (the other Loud group) for timing purposes.

  • get rdy for Amaru :)

  • An insightful reply, makes a lot of sense.

But I just searched Yoon Min's age and now he's 22, but when he was on the show, he was 20. If JYP debuted the group a few months apart, I disagree he would be "old". 18-20 are the best ages to debut. Kinda crazy people criticized him so much when 20 is still so young.

And not koreans coming for these boys' visuals as If they would stan. :skull:

  • Not just SKZ/Day6, even Xdinary Heroes are doing it so you might have a point

I personally watched just one episode of LOUD (because of 3RACHA's participation) and during this episode, JYP's trainees were motived to help writing the new remix of Back Door they would perform together. So I agree It might be a requirement.

I wonder how the line-up will be after Yoon Min's departure. Will be added visual members? Members with production's skills? Or they will debut just the remain trainees?
