Well 60% of the kpop fans I know just want to settle in Korea when they grow up. Study well, meet their kpop fave in a concert and live there forever. Basically the kpop fan's version of a disney fairytale fantasy. The others seem normal ig. Also some of the ARMYs I met irl do actually dislike Blackpink. Very funny.
why are kpop fans so creepy irl

Ngl, I used to be a little delulu when I 1st got into KPOP.
I don't think I ever intentionally fetishized Asian men, but I did go from not really noticing Asian men to them being my type for awhile lol. But of course, once I actually started being more exposed to Korean men in real life, I realized some things.
KPOP is meant to be a fantasy and an escape. It's supposed to be something to "idolize". It's not reality. Thankfully, I grew out of that phase lol.
I actually had a friend who was a little bit worse than me. I've never been a hardcore buy all the merch, "my fave's are the best and everyone else sucks", etc die hard kind of fan. My friend has a relatively chill personality, but she is a hardcore Army. Like buying all the merch etc. and playing BTS music nonstop whenever we got in a car with her type of fan.
But, she wasn't like that around people she didn't know well. She only did that with us because we are her friends, she knew I also liked KPOP, she knew we wouldn't judge her, and she was trying to make us into Army (she actually semi-converted one friend). But yeah, neither one of us made being a KPOP stan our whole personality even though we both tried to learn Korean, and I considered going there to teach English lmao.

Well I have MANY experiences with the 2nd group. In my high we had a sort of Kpop club - well I went at the first meeting with some of my friends and I've met some of the most Obnoxious people ever, they were Armies, obviously (...)
One of my friends liked BTS too at a surface level and said to one of those Armies that her bias was V, at that statement, this Army started screaming in my friend's face that she couldn't bias him because "V was hers"
That girl was 16, not 5 btw (I wouldn't accept that kind of behaviour from a 5 year old anyways)
I'm scared of meeting Kpop fans in real life, some people are psychos

well then start to hang out with kpop fans irl who aren't creepy
-
I can't really fetish because I am Asian but I do buy merch and albums to support my group biases and member biases.
