Is Stray Kidz now where BTS was in 2015?

There isn't a "z" in Stray Kids

BTS entered Hot 100 iirc in 2017 so NJ and Fifty-Fifty more like it.
We will eventually see a boy group rise naturally. I figure the current 5th gen has better chance. Yeah, breaking out is really hard considering the current state of boy groups so whichever groups public adopt soon will have better chance moving forward.

lol no.
2017 was the year bts had their big international breakthrough. the amas, vmas, billboards, late night show interviews, hot 100 -- just to name a few. all very crazy for kpop at the time. no one is ever going to have that 'bts breakthrough' because frankly, they made all these things mainstream. super m debuted straight in the US, can u imagine a group prior to bts doing that?? 💀 we literally have groups fully catering to US audiences now. bts saw success not only internationally, but even in korea. they were famous enough but still second to exo for the entirety of 2016. 2017 basically cemented their status as the one top boy group in korea.
so yeah unless stray kids pull a revolutionary feat for kpop, they aren't close to 2017 bts global impact and quite possible never even might be

BTS had more than Hot100 at the time
Its not THIS or THAT, they were dominating on all fronts which is why no group has even reached their 2016/2017 status.
The more groups "grow" on a niche accomplishment, the further way they are to be BTS -
Yeah, I was surprised to learn this, because the hit album + single is so uncommon now

This.
People forget BTS in 2016/2017 literally didn't even have a US label, no distribution in the US, releases on Monday's etc. Yet were charting on the BB200 constantly since 2015 (followed by the hot 100 as well in 2017, again with no US label yet).

I even question if the level of international success is = BTS.
It depends on if you believe their album sales equates to an international fandom of comparable magnitude.
I suspect they have a dedicated fanbase that bulk buys but that does not necessarily mean they have wider reach than TXT for instance.

Yeah just tell yourself BTS only has album sales and not touring, charting (not just pop but rap), streaming, critically acclaimed contents, highest grossing cinema event ever (not just kpop), “anything associated with them”-selling powers.
It is kinda hard to believe that a group has all that, especially if you’re a bubble kpoppie
