SVT will hit a 5 million sales mark, and has broken BTS' first week sales record.

I don't know how the profit structure of Pledis is set up, whether its owner gets anything out of SVT's sales ,or Hybe gets everything.
If Hybe gets everything then Hybe's focus moves to SVT.

SM had its 'preferential' treatment. Sinhwa was always treated as a 'junior' of HOT, Super Junior Shinee a 'junior' of TVXQ, f(x) a 'junior' of SNSD, etc.
However SVT was not started by Hybe/Big Hit and had its own traditions before the company was sold to Hybe, so it never considered itself to be a junior of BTS.
And it seems SVT and BSS get to laugh the last.
