Allkpop is the right one. KRX demanded hybe to clarify abt their stance (their last statement was very vague) by 6pm. No official translation as of yet but I saw reports just now from HYBE official position, stating they are considering to buy SM shares but details will be disclosed within a month once technical stances are clear.

So looks like the rumors were true and HYBE really is looking into SM and helping or whatever you call it with Lee Sooman.

To ME it sounds like they finalizing everything, but of course HYBE not gonna say it.

And for those wondering, it was Lee Sooman who reached out to HYBE (at least this time), not the other way around.

Since Sooman tryna get last minute efforts I'm guessing..idk

Well HYBE has BTS....that alone will make investors mouth drool.

And knowing the investors, they'll probably see any connection with HYBE- means a connection with BTS.

And BTS at this point is a brand in itself.

Like the biggest thing to come out of Korea and has put Korea name on the map in so many ways.

So I could see the investors going with LSM x HYBE duo.

The fact I'm considering Lee Sooman and Bang PD a duo now lmao...Sooman must've been real desperate to turn to HYBE, his biggest competition..I guess you WILL get humbled when you get too big headed

who knows, HYBE can be ruthless, i doubt they're well equipped to run SM well I think they just would be tempted to stop Kakao. My bet is that HYBE doesn't try to take over SM

i genuinely didn't mean to imply you couldn't write, i was just looking for clarification

Those Armies who were talking about BTS' longer run after they waste their most important 4 years in the military will probably feel the reality after all these things happening.

There is no 'longer run' in KPop. Once you lose your dominance, that's it.

Hybe wanted to buy SM for a long time but Sooman Lee refused, since that is like an upstart conquering an old empire. However, now his insiders turning against him, he has no other recourse.

Hybe will probably respect Sooman's rights to the run company, knowing Sooman is not a young man and will gradually fade away from the picture, and it is likely that Ador will merge with what is remaining of SM with Min Heejin obtaining a huge share of the new subsidiary.

Which means , basically, SM gets to wag the dog in Hybe, with existing Hybe acts taking back seats.

Something changed eternally with Bang after around 2019 - success made him quite arrogant and aggressive, and he surrounded himself with those who stroke his ego, rather than ability.

If people who were more capable were handling BTS, they would b touring the world now, the incels being ignored and the rabid uberreactionary politicians silenced, by carrot or stick.

Instead Bang doesn't care about BTS anymore, and now buying SM is going to crown such tendency.

It seems Bang didn't really care about conquering the world, and he was more interested on dominating K-O-R-E-A-N entertainment industry and getting an unassailable position in K-O-R-E-A. If he cared about conquering the world, he would never have allowed BTS back to K-O-R-E-A back in the fateful December 2021.

Bang buying SM means SM will get the emphasis of all of Bang's attention . After buying Source Music, Bang kicked out GFriend and put Le SSerafim into there, and something like that will happen when SM is purchased - Bang will probably keep aespa and a few trainees, and put all of his trainees to SM to let Min Heejin manage them all , and BTS takes a back seat in the hierarchy of Hybe.

It is now very possible that the members themselves might have to finance their own comeback in 2025 , with the former SM idols looking down at them.

Moral: it doesn't pay to be loyal to the country you were born at.
