However I still don't see any comeback on the horizon the twitter also has news they're performing in some Japanese concert in Feb.

One of the biggest remaining mysteries in Kpop.
They had just made a big time fandom jump with their last comeback, i believe they doubled their sales to 80k+ and were probably on course to rocket to 100-200k with their next comeback.
Instead, they literally disappeared.
Maybe their label is playing 4D chess while we're all playing checkers, maybe they realized that any comebacks would get buried by all the NJ/Ive/LSRFM hype and are waiting for the right moment to comeback (when their competitors are on hiatus). That means they should be coming back in the next couple months.
Should.

The music part of the concept def. wasn't it compared to their other title works. I don't know why their team went for it..even allowed a switch from catchier vocal melodies to "developmental" sounding stuff. They have to get back on track.

Their teem saw holiday flop and they were like yeah this concept doesn't work when previously they had after school that was a huge hit all they had to do was trying to recreate that instead of alienating their fans with that song that made zero sense

Can't find the original post, but it was an idea of inspiration drawn from Imagine Dragons that I put out on this forum specifically for NCT..and their team took it upon themselves to use it for "Holiday".
I don't think they should've tried to recreate "After School", per say, but it is a song that could have been a part of a solid and catchy "sonic arc" just how "Tag Me (@Me)", "Zig Zag", and "Boom Chi Ki" felt like they were.
"Ven Para" wasn't even as cool as "After School" on a couple foundational points (like beat, vocal melody, and chorus). All the catchy and memorable material their team put out to just pivot to something far less satisfying really didn't make any sense. Their team can do better for these ladies.
