Partially incorrect.
When Twice had regular comebacks, yes they had more streams compared to BP on a two year hiatus. But after a month or two or so each time Twice had a comeback, BP passed Twice again in streams. As you can see how BP has more streams so far this year when neither group has really released anything (Moonlight Sunrise, but that's just one song).

Amount of songs is hurting them, but BP does have more passive streams than any girl group. A month from now if New Jeans releases nothing, BP will still be doing around 8m streams a day and New Jeans will be doing much less than that.

New Jeans maybe having more MLs while they had a much more recent comeback is not impressive since BP hasn't released anything for several months. Actually if they are doing so well, they should have passed Blackpink's MLs by now since they are inactive currently. It's a surprise with the success of their songs that they haven't yet. Fans must be mass streaming hard on spotify.
If New Jeans can reach BP's peak ULs, then that would actually be impressive. I don't see them getting anywhere near that until they release a full album, and then maybe. BP would probably have increased their record by then though.

their average is exceptional but their cumulative still takes a hit. Otherwise, no gg can come close to bp like twice did or newjeans is doing rn imo.

The point is that's due to new songs.

When either group is also in an inactive period, their streams don't match up despite most groups like Twice having more songs.

Their passive streams are high if you compare passive streams to other groups passive streams. For example, BP with 30 some songs has much more streams than Twice with 200+ songs under a much shorter hiatus.

You just can't make comparisons between artists with new music vs artists without new music and expect the one without new music to be miles ahead. The act BP is still leading in MLs over other girl groups and artists with newer music is a sign of high passive streams in and of itself.

Of course if BP had more music and more comebacks it would increase their lead for sure, I'm not denying that.

They are definitely getting a lot of traction in anglophone market. OMG just hit #14 in Canadian Spotify this is HUGE, also charting both Ditto and OMG in Australia and NZ. And they are starting to chart on Latin America too

I hope Hybe don't delay too much their first full album. I can see them getting an insane amount of hype if they release in second half of the year
