And now they are going to have the main group (TripleS, not a sub unit) debut of the first 10 members before Krystal Eyes debuts (if ever)

As for AAA, they may not have gotten the Sales required but they definitely got popular amongst the fandom, and since future sub groups are voted on by that same fandom, I feel it is very likely that those same 4 Girls will wind up together again at some point
Early pre-main group debut Loona was my favourite Loona, and I was kind of hoping TripleS will be more like that with the main focus not being the full group, but the sub groups and solo acts that are formed

krystal eyes is definitely not scrapped. they still tag content of the unit members with "krystal eyes". i think the rush to push out the 10 memb unit is because they want to include kaede and seo dahyun (who are s9 and s10) and were revealed after krystal eyes and AAA were voted into units. i also presume the plan is to get krystal eyes even more exposure with the ot10 unit's promotions. chaeyeon seems to be a company fav

the whole point is that they want fans to buy nfts to vote the girls into units. after dahyun was revealed they were actively posting ads about holding more auditions for members so im not even sure kotone or the other new member were official by the time they were moving foreward with ot10 prep. doing an ot10 promo seems like an "early member" perk. extra promo for the fist 10 members
