Is Min Heejin Trying Too Hard?

    I seen a few of these comments on Reddit :


    • New Jeans had a perfect start. But then this woman used their music products to convey her POV and narrative, and at this point she is starting to overshadow the group
    • I'm sorry but commenting on parasocial relationships ... while actively participating in the cycle, like take a stance bestie, I'm having a hard time taking it very serious??
      right? like they literally have their own app all about being "best friends" with their fans

    • Distasteful and childish. I also think it’s extremely dishonest of MHJ to use the innocent girls as mouthpieces for her bs. And their young fans are eating up

    • using your YOUNG artist's music video as a way to respond to valid criticism is so egotistical and just plain unprofessional. she's never been professional as we saw with that "statement" about the cookie drama that was basically a reddit rant like OP said. it is just SO weird to keep watching this woman...BE WEIRD? i wish i could articulate this better but why was that her response to being called out for exploting minors?
    • I also feel like nj kids are being manipulated and being taken advantage of by MHJ since they're still young and innocent.

    • Srs and then you have her saying she’s like a mom to them and buying them expensive gifts and it’s just.

    • Not just mom, didn't she say things how she's "best friends" with Hyein and has her over at her house? Talking about how much she loves to have fun, how they get along, This woman literally wiped out her insta and filled it with only pics/videos of her and NWJNS together. She clearly has an obsession with youthfulness (idk how to explain this, but a lot of her ideas are like "maturely innocent kids" concepts).


    people feel she's trying too hard to be apart of the group, and she promotes herself too much.

    Do you think she should keep doing what she doing, in terms of putting herself out there with the group?????


    Or should she be like how Bang PD was with BTS and be behind the scenes, letting the talent and Artist get the spotlight and speak for itself, and only stepping to speak up about the group when necessary?????

    she better try hard for the group she producing since she's the ceo


    creative people who get a lot of success tend to be egotistical because you can't really stand out doing what others doing, staying in line. but it's a double edge sword, and that's what min hee jin is getting. it is what it is. this group is her babies, so she may be exerting more attachment and personal taste than otherwise

    Well, mhj and nj are in one package.

    Nj is exist because of her vision, and you gotta also deal with all of her "quirk".


    Anw I mean, so far so good tho?

    I see no one bashing the nj members themselves.


    But yeah, the downside is maybe because all that negative energy are directed towards mhj, she, in return, gonna give a response back, which could affect her direction on nj a bit, like the last scene of omg mv.

    I don't know how to feel about this topic like on one side obviously NewJeans doesn't deserve any hate and they deserve all the success they can get since they are not at fault of anything but on the other side i dislike how people doesn't take Min Heejin's possible pedophilia seriously like i am getting kind of "Pedophilia is fine as long as she produces a successful group" vibes from some people here, a lot of the things about that woman are concerning and she should keep it professional because it's weird as fuck that a grown up woman wants to be best friends with 15-17 years old girls and hang out with them alone, specially when you consider some of her tastes and things that she has done, it's kind of disgusting that people that are fans of NewJeans don't care about what COULD be happening behind closing doors, it's not like people are concerned out of anywhere, they are concerned because of her weird attitude and weird taste, this is exactly why kpop fans disgust me sometimes, they are so unhinged while they preach to love the groups they stan and love their idols it's such a selfish kind of "love" that as long as they are successful they could give fucks about what actually happen to them

    A lot of NJ fans are success stans. They don't care about the welfare of kids. The kpop fans that are concerned about it keep quiet about NJ because the NJ stans will attack them for any criticism towards MHJ. No one has criticized the NJ members but there are plenty of MHJ defenders even though having people like her in charge of minors should be concerning to anyone who has an issue with grooming and pedophilia.

    That Reddit post reads like it's trying too hard. From what I understand Phoning is just a way to communicate with their fans like what Weverse started as or even the mess that is Bubble where you have to pay extra. It is the literal purpose of it and it can be developed in the future yet this person is trying to twist "communicating with fans" into a negative, "trying to be fans best friends "


    Lady gives a small glimpse of their relationship,posting her giving Christmas gifts to them kids on social media and that gets a weird stamp by this Reddit user too


    None of y'all even know this lady personally and yet she's "never been professional". Were you there behind her 24/7??? Or she is just not a good person. Well damn that's your opinion and you can keep it but this person out here dissecting relationships they've seen through a screen like everybody else in an attempt to convince everybody else to have the same opinion as them ;(


    No but sis can't even take on a parental role for them kids while some of their parents can't be with them 24/7 because according to Reddit user it is "weird"

    Because there's no evidence that Min Heejin is an actual practicing child molesting pedophile. And most people are rightfully skeptical about making that jump with no evidence whatsoever.


    I understand being concerned about the content considering her very weird choice in art films and work under SM but I likewise are making too many jumps with her. There's nothing Min Heejin does that's different from other kpop company heads and their mediaplaying about being close with their groups.


    And mind you, one of her supposed biggest victims, Krystal, still supports her and has a great relationship with her to this day.
