Gfriend is gone, Mamamoo is gone for all intents and purposes, Oh My Girl is in danger of joining them if their next comeback flops like Real Love, and RV tried valiantly earlier this year to keep up with hit FMR, but their latest comeback flopped badly and now they're at risk too.

They had a great comeback but definitely not the biggest. I would Say that belongs to either IVE, IDLE, or Newjeans. All mad significantly bigger waves than BP.

in Korea yes but overall? Not even close. BP has significantly higher overall achievements from spotify/youtube records to album sales and chart entries internationally with just 1 album release.

Korea isn't the only country in the world.

Buts that expected of BP. They didn't radically do amazingly by really any standards. Their music was a big splash but no impact largely. It streams well but BP always streams well. It was a much anticipated release that largely released meh music. Good to listen to but not really amazing or ground breaking. Compare this to say New Jeans, IVE and the quality of IDLEs music and while BP may have had more success in terms of streaming platforms I think they were completely outclassed in quality. To be clear im not saying only BP was, I would say Twice and really many 3rd gen GG have been getting outclassed in terms of music quality and impact lately. These new Gas just have something in terms of music quality that older GGs lack a bit.

Quality isn't determined by you or any asshole hating on BP, if you think they don't have it, that's on you and your pov of quality. If blinks likes it, that doesn't mean we should expect "more" of quality and be more critical or we have bad taste or view of quality, it means that the total opposite.

An standard is set by a person, for themselves, not for everyone else, got it? You don't define quality in music and you can't go around saying a fandom should be having it.

Bornpink is the greatest Kpop album ever made because of one reason - there isnt a single blop or flop on the entire album. It's 7 - 9 all across the board, and RFL might get that coveted 10 out of 10 ranking. There are no Kpop albums out there that are as consistent as this one.

How is the company brainwashing blinks? and don't bring to me the "quality vs quantity" old say, that isn't setting an standard, that is a literal marketing movement that is done not only by YG and it applies to every single company that says their music is good. At the end of the day, every fandom set up their standards by themselves. And you can't say if a fandom is wrongly defining the quality or not.
